Sparing mode: definition, features, characteristics and recommendations

Any treatment and recovery process is effective when it is built on a rational motor regime that provides for optimal use of various forms of patient activity during the day.

What are the modes?

If it is a medical institution, then the hospital should be distinguished - the regime can be bed-type (which, in turn, exists in the form of a strict and light one) and half-bed (it can be ward or free), and a different type of medical institution. The latter include sanatoriums, dispensaries, rest homes. If you get there, you will come across one of the options for the regime - gentle, gentle-training or training.

What exactly you will be appointed in the conditions of the resort, is decided individually and is related to the general condition of you as a patient, fitness, endurance, the nature of the disease.

We leave for the sanatorium

For example, let's see what is accepted to offer vacationers in our domestic resorts. Suppose we are to stay in one of the sanatoriums belonging to the Caucasian Mineral Waters. What options are possible here?

The sparing mode is one for which the smallest physical activity is characteristic. Its meaning is in limiting the maximum possible number of stimuli, both physical and mental type.

The patient should have a psycho-emotional mood of a positive nature. Its meaning is to increase the adaptation of the human body to specific resort conditions. Especially the heart and blood vessels.

Assign it to those of patients who have serious organic lesions related to the cardiovascular system, diseases of other areas of medium severity or in the phase of incomplete remission. And also if the disease is in the stage of attenuation of exacerbation.

Rest and relax again

The sparing mode in this case consists in the quantitative predominance of rest intervals over the phases of activity associated with physical activity. After each of the prescribed treatment procedures, rest, sleep or at least rest for the patient is necessary in the afternoon.

Exercises of hygienic gymnastics, organized in the mornings, are held in groups with a small load (motor density 40-50% and duration not more than 10-12 min). Therapeutic gymnastics is conducted in small groups or individually. It lasts 20-25 minutes with a motor density of 40-60%.

Recommended in small doses once or twice during each day of the walk. The terrain should be uncomplicated, with an even relief, the length of each route is from 0.5 to 1.5 km. The interval for restoring the forces between them must be at least an hour or two. During the rest you should practice breathing exercises.

And in general it is possible to move?

The rate of movement should be one that is inherent in the dynamic stereotype of this patient. In addition, he is recommended to exercise independently physical education 3-4 times daily for 5-7 minutes. With good health, the patient can afford to play with a small load (such as croquet or bowling alley) for half an hour.

Other sanatorium regimes (it is a question of sparing-training and training) are characterized by increased physical activity compared with the considered. Their task is to expand the adaptive capabilities of the body. In this article, we will not dwell on the specifics of these modes.

What awaits students and working

Let's return to the sparing mode and we will disassemble what is put in this concept in cases of restoration of the human body (adult or schoolchild) in the conditions of production activity or study. After all, not every time a doctor sends us to the resort!

Gentle mode of operation is shown after most diseases, as well as pregnant women (they are transferred to easy labor). For schoolchildren, it must be observed after a previous acute respiratory disease or other illness.

What is the essence of the sparing regimen in an institution after, for example, ARI? In the clinic, a certificate of a sparing regime is issued, on the basis of which the following measures are taken.

Teaching at home and in school should be limited in time. For several weeks (three to four) the student is released from certain forms of extracurricular work, for example from cleaning the school grounds and premises, electives and long excursions.

What else means a gentle training regime

Parents should ensure that the child is daily outdoors from three hours a day, elementary school students should sleep during the day, after school, at least an hour a month and a half in a row.

Children are exempted from work in the school workshop for a week or two, physical education lessons - at the same time, any sports and other activities involving increased physical activity (for example, hiking).

Extremely high intellectual burdens are highly welcome, so with the Olympiads and competitions it is necessary to wait.

What is the role of the doctor?

A medical worker in an educational institution should monitor the course of recovery processes after illness in students. Together with the pedagogical staff and parents, the doctor selects certain measures within the sparing regimen of each child individually. This is especially true for those who have had acute respiratory illness in severe form or are sick more than 2-3 times in the school year.

Let's take care of the kids

Junior schoolchildren sparing the day and study schedule is prescribed within 4 or 5 weeks after the illness, senior pupils for 3-4 weeks. Such pedagogues should try to release such children from paired and last lessons in the first week after recovery, not to call to the board for an answer.

The first week of recovery is most important for health promotion and prevention of relapses, so it is very important for children to have extra time for outdoor activities.

Back at the gym

Admitted to the lessons of physical education students with general development exercises should be engaged in a more gentle mode. Show all kinds of walking and breathing exercises. With caution, you need to approach the exercises for speed, power, requiring endurance.

If the regime is sparing, the distances in walking and running must be reduced, rope climbing, acrobatic exercises and all sudden movements are excluded. The lesson should be interrupted by two or three pauses for one or two minutes to monitor the pulse and fix the results in a self-monitoring diary.

What else should I do?

Do not forget about the morning gymnastics at home, warm-up to classroom lessons, physical education, moving games of moderate intensity.

Often ill students should be gradually accustomed to skiing, skating, swimming, short-term hikes.

But the sparing regime is also required here. Loads must initially be minimal, taking into account the reduced physical functional of the child's organism and increase only with the restoration of working capacity.
