Childhood and youth

Sergei Nikitin was born on a holiday, it was a Women's Day on March 8, 1944. He appeared in the troubled and difficult years of the war. His father was a serviceman.

Sergei studied well at school, was fond of exact sciences (especially he was attracted by physics). In his youth, he began to write music, tried to invent melodies to the poems of famous poets, so that the songs would turn out.

After graduation (in 1962), the young man entered the prestigious physics and mathematics faculty of Moscow State University. Here he was expected to participate in student amateur activities and a successful marriage.

In MSU the talent of the young musician appeared. He actively participated in student amateur performances, played the guitar from the stage, performing songs of his own composition. Sergei Nikitin organized a quartet and a quintet of physicists and musicians.

It was in the circle of students' self-activity that Nikitin acquired the glory of a bard and found the love of his life. Tatyana Sadykova became this love. In 1968 Sergei and Tatyana got married. In 1971, they had a son, Alexander.

Successes in the musical field

After graduating from the university, Nikitin became an employee of the Institute of Organic Chemistry, successfully defended his thesis and made a scientific career.

However, this all faded into the background, because the main thing in Nikitin's life was music. In 1972, the singer took an honorable place at the festival of political songs in Berlin. In the same years, Nikitin's spouses met the French composer Paul Maurois and recorded a song "To the music of Vivaldi", which became extremely popular.

Nikitin, telling later in an interview about his first successes, recalled that he was brought to the music by the "spirit of the times". In the sixties, many young people dreamed of singing songs to the guitar, though not all of them did it. And Sergei Nikitin the singer was excellent. He found his unique style, even his guitar was sparse - seven-stringed, with a special minor tone. Therefore, he and his future wife were able to achieve well-deserved fame.

Songs for movies and cartoons

But all the same all-Union glory Nikitin brought work in the cinema. In the film "The Irony of Fate" by E. Ryazanov, he brilliantly performed several songs that were particularly fond of the audience with their lyricism and the depth of meaning: "I asked the ash", "If you do not have aunt ...", etc. (later the wife of Nikitin Will perform songs in other films by director Ryazanov).

Another film work, which also brought Nikitin to the top of the glory, was the film "Moscow does not believe in tears," in which Nikitin's spouses sang all the songs. Quiet and good works, featuring soft lyricism and intelligence, were immediately remembered by all those who watched this film. Perhaps a successful musical selection also contributed to the fact that this film was awarded a high award abroad (Oscar for Best Foreign Film Award).

They sang the wife of Nikitin and in cartoons. The most famous was the cartoon, which was released in 1979. It was called "Big secret for a small company". Amazing songs that sounded in it, have acquired real immortality. They are performed (even today) by adults and children.

Work in the theater

After perestroika, Sergei Nikitin left science forever. His knowledge as a candidate of science turned out to be unclaimed. Bard was invited to work in the theater. Sergei Yakovlevich worked for several years as the head of the musical part in Oleg Tabakov's theater (in the famous "Tabakerka").

In 1997, the Nikitins for many years of work in the field of musical art were awarded the prestigious Tsarskoselskaya art award.

In total for their creative life the spouses have written and performed music for more than 50 theatrical performances. These productions entered the golden fund of Russian art.
