Sawdust as a fertilizer: helping growers and preserving ecology

Nowadays, many people think that the natural resources of mother earth are not unlimited, therefore, their use was as rational as possible. Recycling of recyclable materials is becoming one of the priority areas in business.

The wood processing products, in particular sawdust, did not bypass this issue. As fertilizer they have been used before, they have always been a success for summer residents due to their accessibility and safety for plants and the environment. There are several ways to enrich the material for cultivating the land. By themselves, sawdust as a fertilizer does not represent anything special, but in a processed form can serve no worse than manure.

Coniferous sawdust has the ability to last a long time, so it is advisable to use them for the next year after adding it to the compost pit.

Sawdust from deciduous trees can be used fresh. To do this, they are moistened with a solution of urea and nitrogen-containing complex fertilizers. Wood sawdust can be mixed with liquid manure or chicken droppings in the following proportion: three buckets of sawdust and one bucket of fertilizer. Thus, you will save the consumption of the main fertilizer, reduce its aggressive impact on the soil and achieve an even distribution in the ground.

Sawdust introduced into the soil during the autumn agricultural work will significantly improve the qualitative composition of the land, make it loose, crumbly and pliable, and reduce clay soil. However, such land is also a fertile soil for ants, beetles and other pests of our sites. If you have introduced sawdust into the earth as a fertilizer, then when ants appear, their nest should be treated with a solution of a mixture of ash and lime. Such treatment to prevent the invasion of insects can be done in advance, processing the ground around ridges, on the sides of greenhouses and greenhouses.

The struggle for the use of recyclables is not limited to the garden. Almost there are no more places where the business of recycling production was not debugged. Manufacture of fuel from materials of a phytogenesis has widely spread. In the case of wood waste, it is briquettes from sawdust. The economic benefit of creating an additional kind of earnings for wood processing enterprises is obvious. If you get rid of waste by burning, then it is fraught with multimillion fines from environmental control. The decay product from burning sawdust - carbon monoxide - adversely affects the external environment. In addition, in the case of increased humidity of waste, they will simply smolder and not completely burn out. If we create a production of fuel briquettes, then, in addition to the high demand for products (briquettes are intended for any method of kindling the fire, suitable for a stove, and for a grill, a fireplace, just for a fire when leaving for nature), the enterprise will receive:

  • Absence of clutter of the territory;
  • Completely closed wasteless production process;
  • No need to find raw materials for production;
  • Protection of the environment.

Using sawdust as a fertilizer or as a raw material for creating a new business, remember that by doing this you maintain the purity of our nature, air, and hence our health.
