Safety in the lessons of track and field athletics. Physical education at school

Very serious attention today is paid to the organization of the educational process in general and physical education in particular. Prevention of injuries of the child during the exercises in the lesson is the paramount task of the teaching staff. Safety at the track and field at school is an important part of the educational process. Schoolchildren who are engaged in physical culture at school, according to experts, are at risk of injury.

How to properly organize the educational process, so that children do not break their legs, do not dislocate the joints and do not stuff the bumps on their knees? Let's try to understand this issue.

General requirements for teachers

Each teacher or a person who replaces him, in the lessons of physical education must necessarily comply with the rules and regulations that are prescribed in the school job description. The person who conducts classes, is obliged to know in detail what safety is in the lessons of track and field athletics. He is also fully responsible for the health and life of the child during classes.

Teachers, as a rule, take special courses on health and safety of students (once every three to five years). In addition, the responsible teacher of physical education will certainly independently test new shells, before they begin to study their students. Competent specialists make various suggestions, comments, offer their own ideas for improving the educational process and reducing traumatic situations in the classroom in track and field at school.

Teachers must know!

  • How much each student is physically prepared.
  • What are its functional capabilities.
  • To which medical group the schoolchild belongs after a special medical examination.
  • Which students are absent from the lesson and for what reason.
  • Which children are released by the doctor from their studies.
  • Which for health reasons in general can not yet attend physical education lessons at school.
  • In what condition is the working inventory, does it require replacement or repair of a sports projectile, etc.?

Admission to studies

All schoolchildren must be informed before the start of the track-and-field athletics classes about what safety is in the physical culture, what are its basic requirements and regulations. Children are admitted to the lesson only if they do not have an exemption from the doctor if they have been examined and admitted to the main classes.

To prevent a child from attending physical education classes at school, the teacher can, in the event that the student does not have special sports shoes and uniforms. It must necessarily be made of "breathing" material, do not constrain movements. Shoes should be light, comfortable, "in size", do not skid.

If a physical education lesson is held on the street, then the teacher is obliged to check whether all children are dressed "in the weather." In the winter - it's a scarf, mittens or gloves, warm shoes and a light but warm jacket. In spring and autumn - it's comfortable waterproof interchangeable shoes, light hat and scarf.

Obligations of the student

Not only teachers are responsible for the health of the child during classes. The child should also understand that, observing the rules, he will protect himself from injuries, bruises and fractures. Children should not use sports equipment if the lessons have not started or if this inventory is not used today at the lesson at all.

Students are required to exercise maximum attention while going in for athletics at the stadium. The usual collision with foreheads due to inattention may look ridiculous on the part of classmates, but can lead to serious health problems.

If the child does not know what safety is in the course of athletics, does not observe the rules and regulations, does not keep sports equipment, does not have special sportswear, he is not allowed to attend classes at all.

Before the lesson begins

Training in athletics at school requires certain preparations. Before the lesson, students must change into a sports uniform, wear non-slip shoes and comfortable outerwear (if outdoor activities in the cold season). Do not forget that you need to remove all potentially dangerous items: earrings, bracelets, long necklaces, watches. In the pockets of sportswear should also not be foreign objects.

Teachers need at this time to thoroughly check all the shells that will be used in the training process: to wipe out the nuclei or disks for throwing, loosen the sand for long jumps, check the safety of the treadmill, and so on.

Run

Safety precautions in physical education during the running session provide for several rules that all participants of the training process must observe. Students, for example, must carefully look at the treadmill, and not be distracted by conversations with classmates or contemplation of the surrounding beauties.

Teachers should warn the young athlete that, having finished running on the path, he must run another five to seven meters. This is done so that the next student can finish his exercise without hindrance, too. Children should in no way substitute footboards, distract conversations, or in any other way interfere with students who have not yet completed their classes on the run.

The teacher must, before the main competitions to run a special warm-up exercise complex, which is aimed at preventing injuries among children.

Throwing

Exercises on throwing very like the majority of students. But it should be remembered that the safety technique in the lessons of track and field provides several rules. Observance of them will help to avoid dangerous situations on the sports ground.

The most important rule is to make sure before the start of throwing that no one stands before you. The teacher must put the students who are not participating in the throwing to the left of the thrower. If the weather is damp, then the projectiles must be wiped out before each new student. Children in the physical education class during the throwing exercises should not perform any spontaneous exercises. Everything is done only by the permission of the teacher.

Students should not throw shells at each other, do not transfer them to each other by sharp throws, should not be thrown into places that are not equipped for throwing.

Jumping

As we have already noted, before the beginning of the track-and-field athletics classes that take place on the street, the teacher is obliged to conduct thorough preparation. If long jumps are taken , the sand is leveled before the start of the exercises and after each student who completed these. The pit with sand, as a rule, is leveled with the help of rake, shovel or other equipment. If these tools are used by students, the teacher must be there, carefully observe the process in order to avoid pampering and, accordingly, injuries.

If the ground is uneven or slippery, then employment on such a "projectile" is strictly prohibited. Jumping pupils should perform alternately. You can not allow the presence of several children on the jump site. They should not interfere with each other, jostling, throwing sand in the eyes, etc.

Behavior of pupils and teachers in an emergency situation

Unfortunately, injuries and dangerous cases occur in physical education classes. How should teachers and children behave in this case? A student who feels bad or injured should immediately turn to the teacher. The latter, in turn, is obliged to provide the child with medical assistance (if the injury is insignificant), send the student to a medical center or call an ambulance (if severe health damage is caused).

Observance of all safety rules will make it possible to enjoy the physical education lesson to both the teacher and the student.
