The Rottweiler breed is one of the oldest in the world. The ancestors of these clever, hardy dogs were the fighting dogs of Roman legionaries. For all of its existence as an independent breed, the Rottweilers have simply replaced a huge number of "professions". For a long time these dogs were used as shepherds. Later German policemen caught criminals with their help. Traders often took Rottweilers with them on long voyages.

This popularity of the breed is explained primarily by its intelligence, endurance and enormous physical strength. It will not be difficult to train a Rottweiler even for a beginner.

Congenital characteristics of the character - this, of course, is, in view of what the training should be conducted. Rottweiler belongs to a not too numerous group of dogs with a very balanced character. The processes of excitation and inhibition in these dogs are exactly the same. The only thing, the transition from one emotional state to another is somewhat slow. This is different from the same popular German shepherds. However, such a small defect is easily counterbalanced by the strength of the developed skills and the failure-free operation of the teams.

When to start?

Of course, many owners of such dogs are interested in the question of the age at which their training can be started. Rottweiler is now most often used as a guard-guard dog. Therefore, the training of representatives of this breed can include three main stages:

• Basics;

• The general course (OKD);

• Protective guard duty (ZKS).

Education and training puppy with learning the simplest commands, of course, must begin with the very moment when the dog appeared in the house. Special complex courses of animals are held from a certain age, usually under the guidance of an experienced specialist. So, for RDCs, Rottweilers are most often taken from an 8-month-old age. This team is the first skill that is usually taught to matured Rottweiler puppies. Training and education in this case should be conducted systematically, without interruptions. How to teach Rottweiler to refuse feed
