You can prepare pike in an oven in various ways. However, most deliciously obtained fish stuffed with vegetables and baked entirely in foil.

Recipe for cooking pike: the necessary ingredients

  • Onions - four large heads;
  • String beans - one hundred grams;
  • Carrots - two or three large pieces;
  • The whole pike is three kilograms;
  • Bay leaf - three or four pieces;
  • Olive oil - twenty five milliliters;
  • Salt - one and a half spoons;
  • Fresh greens (leeks, parsley, dill) - one and a half pencil;
  • Lemon - one whole fruit;
  • Red pepper - a couple of pinches.

To feed a delicious dinner for the whole family, it is recommended to purchase a large and fresh fish. Pike should be washed, cleaned of scales, cleaned of all viscera and fins. You can leave the head of the fish, or you can put it away. After this, you need to prepare a special sour marinade, which in the future should completely cover the main product. To do this, take a small but deep plate, squeeze out 1/3 of the lemon, chop three or four laurel leaves, add salt, olive oil and red pepper. If desired, the sauce can be poured and seasoning for baking fish. The resulting marinade requires completely cover the pike and set it aside for fifteen minutes.

The filling for fish can be made from any products. However, in this recipe, we use only carrots, frozen string beans and onions. All ingredients should be washed and cleaned. Then you need to grate the carrots on a grater, and chop the onions and herbs finely with a knife.

Before fixing the fish in the oven for further baking, it should be filled with cooked vegetables. To do this, the whole pickled pike must be placed on the foil and maximally open the ripped belly. After that, the fish need to put onions, pods, carrots and thin slices of lemon. Then, closing the abdomen of the fish, it should be tightly wrapped with foil and put on a baking sheet. This dish is baked in the oven for about forty to fifty minutes. To check the readiness of lunch, it is recommended to get the package, open it a bit and, having tucked the fork with a fork, taste it.

After the fish, stuffed with vegetables, completely baked, it should be carefully extracted from the foil and laid out entirely on an oblong dish. At the edges of the dish it is desirable to beautifully arrange the leaves of a green salad, sliced cherry tomatoes, olives, cucumbers and fresh leeks. On top of the pike you can additionally sprinkle with lemon juice or use some other sauce suitable for this dish.

In addition to carrots, beans and onions, you can stuff other fish with other ingredients. For example, incredibly delicious it turns out such a dish with thin slices of potatoes or steamed rice.
