"Quartet I": films with their participation. List and history of the appearance of the collective

Members of this troupe have long been a kind of brand of domestic humor. Witty and unlike anybody, they are very popular, and the plays and films with the participation of the Quartet I, according to the scripts that they themselves write, immediately understand the quotations and become winged.

The beginning of the creative path

Not everyone knows that in fact the "Quartet I" (the films with their participation will be described separately) consists not of four people, but of five: besides Leonid and Rostislav, these are Alexander Demidov, Kamil Larin and Sergei Petreykov (the last of these is Artistic director).

But it all began with Odessa. Or rather, when Leonid Baratz and Rostislav Hayit (better known as Lesha and Glory) in the distant 1978 became classmates in the first year of schooling in the Odessa school. However, with the other participants of the future "Quartet" they became friends only after a decade, while studying at GITIS.

It's no secret that the theatrical spectator used to learn the answer to the question: "Who are the Quartet?" The films with their participation (the list of all the works of art can be seen below) have gained immense popularity, but the children are more known as a theatrical troupe. But the first steps to success were, as is usually the case, uncertain and difficult. Tickets were sold badly, and the money they had was not enough to cover the cost of staging, renting premises, etc. When it became very tight, one of its participants, Sergey Petreykov, saved one of its members from "death". He rented his apartment on Bolshaya Nikitskaya to foreign lodgers, and paid rent for the development of the future theater ($ 7000 by that amount was a huge sum). Of course, he returned this money over time.

First successes

In 1995, the light saw the play "La Comedy" - the first project, after which there were constant spectators. Three years later, the guys took up stage improvisations called "Acting Games". In 1999 La Comedy 2 was released - the first performance, the revenues from which exceeded the cost of the production. But the real success came in 2001. It was this year that the guys started their new production - "Radio Day", which became their calling card. Then followed the continuation - "Election Day", then "Faster than rabbits", as well as the first work in the cinema ...

Films featuring Quartet I

The list opens with the film "Election Day". In fact, the guys have a long-awaited desire to create a movie. And one day a St. Petersburg businessman came to them with a desire to make a film from the play "Election Day" a film, because he believed that this is the most urgent topic for the viewer. Becoming not only a sponsor, but also a producer, Nikolai Ulyanov (that's the name of a businessman) called Oleg Fomin's director's chair . But in the end, the rental of the film did not bring the investor profits. And the participants of the "Quartet" were dissatisfied with the film, explaining that it was too similar to the play, and they suggested that the play "Faster than rabbits" be screened, they say, it is more cinematic. But the decisive word was not for them. Then followed the sequel - "Radio Day", this time more successful. And although with the first film the continuation is not connected in any way, in the main role - our favorite "Quartet I". Films with their participation (the list can be seen below) after that began to win an ever larger audience.

Election Day (2007)

This, in the author's definition of "force majeure," comedy begins with a phone call in the apartment of the director of the Moscow radio station "As if the radio." The oligarch named Emmanuil Gedeonovich "asked" to send the staff of the radio station to one of the regions of the Volga region for the promotion of the candidate for governors Igor Tsaplin. The guys will have to face the local mafia, the Cossacks, police and soldiers, as well as the pressure of the local governor. Despite all the problems, our heroes come out of any situation with humor and enviable professionalism. As a result, Igor Tsaplin in the election receives an overwhelming majority of votes, but it turns out that the election was not won in the area where it is needed. The film ends with the oligarch sending a new candidate.

"Radio Day" (2008)

In the lead roles - all the same "Quartet And". Films with their participation (the list began to replenish almost every year) are very diverse and do not look like the previous ones.

Now this is a story about a crazy night in the life of the radio station "As if the radio." There was an emergency: when there was only a few minutes left to the live broadcast, it suddenly turns out that the theme of a live marathon was intercepted by competitors. However, it is impossible to cancel the marathon, because each employee may be out of work, moreover, the leading rock musicians of the country are invited to the action. Guys are obliged to come up with a new topic.

Meanwhile, from the city of Nakhodka, a boat with animals from the local regional circus on board went on a tour to Japan. Unexpectedly, in the open sea, the boat stalls. It turns out that the crew member "left" dumped half of the fuel tank. And the remaining fuel should be enough, but only the second crew member (the ship's captain) drained half the tank even earlier ...

Thanks to the creative efforts of employees of "How Radio", the boat "KTSR 12" turned into a huge disaster in the Sea of Japan, a huge ship "Doctor of Science Professor Schwarzenhall" with the rarest animals on board. And of course, all this is being presented exclusively on the air of the radio station. While the guys are asking to comment on the situation "Brigitte Bardot herself," the Ministry of Emergency Measures and the Ministry of Defense are joining the fight for the animal gene pool ...

"What Men Talk About" (2010)

Four friends go by car from Moscow, through Kiev, to Odessa, to a concert of the rock band "Bi-2". During the journey, friends discuss the pressing issues of concern for middle-aged men: about love and friendship, about lies, about the transfer of grandmothers across the road and even about the conventionality of contemporary art ... As a result, the guys, despite the accident, get to the concert.

"What else do men say" (2011)

December 31, Moscow. Sasha and some wealthy woman did not miss each other's cars. Poskandaliv, the woman sends two impressive defenders to "sort it out" with Lesha. Alexander did the only thing he could - he called his friends to help. And now, being locked up in Sasha's office (on the street waiting for them), friends again talk about life, they share who he wanted to become as a child and who achieved something in life. And they also try to understand the question that tortures everyone: what about the beloved, and sometimes unbearable, women?

"Faster than rabbits" (2013)

Two friends wake up in a strange room - a house consisting of rooms and corridors, with no windows and doors. Trying to find out what happened yesterday, buddies meet people who are busy with the same problem. Also, the company is concerned about unexpected findings: a funeral table and a gravestone. All frantically remember, how did they get here? And finally, where is this "here"? Is not it the right time to think about what they will leave behind?

«Wonderland» (2015)

This time the heroes are from different parts of the country. There is also a family from the province who had a chance to get to the "Field of Miracles" and a staff member of the PPS who is going through his first working day and drinking Valera who faces a choice: save the world from a worldwide flood or fly with aliens to another planet, and young Lovers, acquainting their parents, as well as four passengers who can not fly to Moscow ...

Election Day 2 (2016)

Igor Vladimirovich Tsaplin is re-elected for a third term. Having done nothing for the region, he thinks: is it all this? In addition, the touted bridge across the Volga collapsed right at the time of its solemn opening. And this is before the very election! The team of PR specialists-political technologists from Moscow ...

What's next?

It is worth noting one detail about the creative team called "Quartet I": the films with their participation (the list was listed) have long gone beyond the framework of the usual comedy film - they have a place for drama, melodrama, and even philosophy. They amaze their viewers with every new project. And once again after watching a play or a movie, the question arises: "And what, actually, next? How do they still surprise?
