Primrose. Home care

Primula is a fairly common and very beautiful plant with small flowers of various colors. Most housewives simply adore this species. However, one should properly treat her properly growing and caring for her. Primula, home care for which requires not too much effort, will turn into a beautiful plant, most importantly - properly perform all the required procedures.

It must be remembered that primula very much loves light, but it does not tolerate overheating and the sun rays on it. The most favorable place for it is usually considered windows and window sills, facing the west and east. And in the hot and summer time, this primrose is recommended to be taken out on a balcony or street to maintain its characteristic temperature.

Home environment

The primrose at home feels great at a certain temperature. Usually it is about 10 degrees Celsius (thus the plant blossoms well). With a 5-10 degree rise in the climate, there is a slight drop in flowers, so it is better to keep this primrose in poorly heated premises with a lot of sunlight, and in the summer take out into the street into the shade. So if you want to significantly extend the flowering period - observe the temperature necessary for the plant. Also, one should properly treat the irrigation process itself, which differs significantly in the winter and summer (in summer it is usually watered with more water than in winter). Primrose, home care with the very process of flowering and budding, requires the correct saturation of the soil with water, so as to maintain a constant moisture. However, you need to make sure that the soil does not become swamped afterwards (this will have a very negative impact on the root system of the primrose in the future), and also do not dry the soil, since the dry soil will in any case lead to the death of the stem. Before the process of watering, it is required to defend water slightly and at the discretion of fertilizing, only do not overdo it. Water should be carefully, so that water does not fall on the leaves, especially on just emerging. At the moment of absence of flowering watering in 2 - 3 times is reduced.

It is worthwhile beforehand to worry about the necessary humidity of the air, especially in warm rooms, humidity should be increased. Primula, care at home for which requires additional placement of plants on the site with wet claydite or gravel, there will be better humidity, does not tarnish when its leaves are sprayed and even more soaked with water. For fertilizers, a weak solution of the liquid composition for a given plant species is usually chosen. In the period of flowering and budding, fertilization occurs with a frequency of about once every two weeks.

Primrose. Planting and caring for the plant

The main quantity of primulas is considered annual, but there are also perennials, constantly growing and blossoming every year. It is for these types of transplant. Primula, care at home, transplantation into another soil and proper reproduction of which play a big role in the development of the plant, will certainly thank its owner with a luxuriant flowering. The lapwing is usually transplanted once a year to another soil around the end of September. Initially, the soil is mixed with the same parts with turf and hardwood soil, and also add a little sandy mass. In principle, you can buy a ready-made substance for growing a regular geranium, only then you should add a fifth of the sand there. For a transplant a shallow pot is used, the broader size is best suited. Reproduction of primrose can be carried out with the help of seeds or by dividing the bush into parts.

Proper care of the plant guarantees an excellent flowering.
