  • "Eurikan" RL is a liquid vaccine. Contains rabies virus in inactivated form, as well as Leptospira serogroups Kanikola and Interohemorrhagia.

A different kind of vaccine is also on sale. In its composition, instead of the "Eurikan" RL contains "Eurican" L. The difference of this liquid component from the previously mentioned is that it does not contain inactivated rabies virus. Consequently, when vaccinated with such a drug, the dog does not acquire immunity from this dangerous disease.

Indications for use of the vaccine

At what diseases is "Eurican" used? Instruction for use reveals the purpose of the drug:

  1. The plague of carnivores is a viral disease that manifests itself in the extensive damage to the skin of the dog in conjunction with fever, damage to the nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract. In addition, the course of the disease is often complicated by pneumonia. Particularly susceptible to the plague of carnivorous puppies, but does not exclude infection and in adulthood.

The causative agent, getting into the dog's body, causes damage to the liver, kidneys and mucous membranes, fever, jaundice, and dysfunction of the central nervous system. The incubation period does not exceed 15 days. Leptospirosis leads to the inevitable death of the animal.

Contraindications and side effects

Contraindications to the use of the vaccine in an animal are: the following factors:

  • It is forbidden to use already infected dogs.
  • Defeat by helminths. In the case of deworming, vaccination is recommended not earlier than 10 days after the procedure.

Like any other drug, it has some side effects and "Eurican". Instructions for use for dogs warn of possible swelling at the injection site. In rare cases, an allergic reaction is not excluded, requiring subsequent symptomatic treatment. "Eurican" activates the production of antibodies specific to previously mentioned viruses. The immunity of the pet is formed already on the 21st day after the vaccination. A protective effect persists throughout the year.

"Eurikan": instructions for use, manufacturer

A medicine is being produced in France, the pharmaceutical company Merial. Before vaccination, it is necessary to prepare a mixture of the two components that make up the preparation. In this case, you must follow the rules of antiseptics, use only sterile materials. The dose of injection, regardless of the weight and age of the animal, is 1 ml. It is recommended that the first vaccination be carried out at the 7th week of the dog's life, the second vaccination should be repeated three to five weeks later.

"Eurican" for puppies: instructions for use

One of the main issues is the possibility of using a vaccine for puppies. After all, most viral infections occur in childhood. So, is "Eurican" safe in this case? Instructions for use allow the vaccination of the animal from 3 months. The drug is safe and easily tolerated by the puppy, without causing side effects.

In addition, the use of the vaccine is possible even in pregnant females. No abortion, no decrease in the number of litters, no other local and systemic reactions in this case in bitches is not observed. The main condition is sterility in the preparation of the solution, as well as the health of the animal.
