Potatoes are a product that hardly anyone can surprise. Arriving to us one day from America, this vegetable became truly a native. But what if you still want to surprise? A great way to do this is to cook potatoes baked with meat. In this combination, the taste of potatoes will reveal itself in a new way. So, specially for you, we publish a recipe for cooking potatoes with meat.

In order to bake this dish, you will need the following set of products:

1 egg, pork - 500 grams, butter - 200 grams, starch - 1 spoon, cheese - 200 grams, potatoes - 500 grams, onions - 1 onion, mayonnaise, spices and salt to taste.

Pork should be cut thin slices. Be sure to salt the meat with salt and spices to taste, then pour the meat with a special mixture. It consists of an egg, 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise (a dining room, naturally), 1 tablespoon of starch. Meat should be left in this mixture for 2 hours - let it marinate.

During this time, cook the potatoes, cut it into pieces (medium in size).

We prepare the pan: first we lay on it pieces of butter, the second layer goes to the second layer - potatoes, then the third - vegetables for your taste, you can carrots or peppers. Exclude from the list of possible vegetables cucumbers - when baking they are not very tasty. Above vegetables - onion, sliced with rings. Then gently lay the pickled pork. As an additional layer, you can again use the onion rings. We put the future potatoes, baked with meat, in the oven for twenty minutes.

After that, we take out and sprinkle the dish with grated cheese. Then put the pan in the oven for another 15 minutes, so that the cheese can melt. The dish is served to the table in a hot form, you can pour it with ketchup.

There is also another opinion on how to cook potatoes with meat. Many bake potatoes and meat separately. But in this case, potatoes and meat will no longer be one whole dish. Potatoes will act as a garnish. And here everything is the other way round: potatoes baked with meat - this is one full-fledged product.

So, now we will describe to you the second way how to prepare this dish, which many mistakenly call meat in French. Conditionally it can be called "meat assortment", because it contains in its composition the meat of different animals, namely: lamb, beef and pork. For the recipe you will need: 300 grams of beef, 300 grams of lamb, 300 grams of pork. 5 bulbs of large size, a kilogram of potatoes, pork fat for baking, 1 carrot. Seasoning, salt and garlic - to taste and desire. Add wine to the dish or not - this is your decision, this is not a mandatory item. If you decide to pour in, you will need about half a liter.

We begin to cook potatoes baked with meat, with cleaning vegetables. Then cut all the ingredients in large pieces. After all have been cut, add the ingredients to a large saucepan, season with salt, season and leave overnight so that the mixture is well marinated. After that, lay the contents of the pan on the baking tray with an even layer and put the dish to bake.

By the way, if you like potatoes with crust in the form of chips, then you need to put it under meat. If you, on the contrary, prefer a softer version of potatoes, then put it on top.

Serve the dish in a hot form. Remember that the side dish is not needed. Although potatoes baked with meat, in some cases it is dryish. This defect can be corrected if you prepare a salad of fresh vegetables and serve it along with your main dish.

Alternatively, you can use mayonnaise. If your dish is full of mayonnaise, it will not be so dry. Some as seasoning to potatoes with meat use a cheese sauce, prepared independently.
