Analog of a plavix.

One of the combined antiaggregants is the "Plavix" preparation. Today is also very often used in medicine and such an analogue of the plavix as a zilt. The composition of the drug includes both clopidogrel and acetylsalicylic acid. The main effect of the pharmaceutical preparation is directed to the inhibition of ADP-receptors responsible for the aggregation of blood cells (in particular, platelets). A distinctive feature of the drug is the irreversible binding of ADP receptors, which leads to a persistent effect on aggregation. As a result, the activity of the receptors is restored only after the death of the old and the synthesis of new platelets. This is the composition and mechanism of action of the analogue of the plavix - zilta.

Clopidogrel (an analogue of Plavix) is used in a dosage of 75 milligrams. Since the first day of taking the drug, there has been a significant weakening of platelet aggregation activity. With the subsequent application of the drug, the effect increases. The cycle of taking a pharmaceutical drug is on average from three to seven days. After the withdrawal of the drug, its effect is observed for five to seven more days (until the majority of the platelet count is fully refreshed).

Salicylic acid causes suppression of platelet aggregation due to irreversible inhibition of cyclooxygenase (COX-1). As a consequence, the synthesis of thromboxane is reduced and vasoconstriction is weakened. As in the case of clopidogrel, the induced effect persists throughout the life span of blood cells (platelets).

What is the use of the analogue of Plavix and the preparation itself? Most often the use of combined antiplatelet agents is justified at a high risk of development of vascular thrombosis of any location in the presence of atherosclerotic lesions.

There is another popular analogue of Plavix - leafab. However, he, like many others (clopylet, lopirel, plorgil, detromb, plagel, troken, cardutol), was not widely used in modern medical practice.

Plavix or zilt?

Most doctors are inclined to use Plavix, as its effectiveness has been proven by randomized studies. Evidence base this drug has acquired in 2007 and for the last five years of active use only strengthened the title of "the best drug". As for zilta, the effectiveness of it, as doctors themselves say, is somewhat lower than stated, therefore, it can not compare with its counterpart as to the quality of drug therapy. First of all, scientists believe that the low efficiency of the latter is due to the imperfection of the technological process of manufacturing the drug. Biophysicists note a certain discrepancy in the molecular structure between the plavix and its analogue.

As for the price, the Plavix considerably loses the zilt. So, the price of the first three times exceeds the cost of the second. In many cases, it is the cost of the drug that makes it necessary to use ineffective analogues. On the assurances of doctors of modern clinics, if you do not have the opportunity to buy an expensive plavix, you should buy a cheaper analogue of it - zilt. It is not recommended to completely reject the medication.

As for such a drug as "Co-plavix," its distinctive feature is the increased dosage of the constituent components (100 and 75 milligrams of salicylic acid and clopidogrel, respectively).

Unfortunately, at the moment the technology of manufacturing the drug "Plavix", like its components, is very expensive, which leads to a high cost of the drug. Fortunately for the poor patients come quite good analogues of the brand-name preparation.
