Play Thunderstorm. Summary of the work of Ostrovsky A.N.
The actions of the play "Thunderstorm" unfold in the fictional provincial town of Kalinov in the 19th century. The central character of the work is Katerina, suffering from the tyranny of her mother-in-law. The summary of the play "Thunderstorm" describes the life of the family of the local merchant Kabanikhi, who is rich and has long been a lawmaker of morality in the city.
Further, the summary of the play "Storm" tells about the appearance of the wanderer Feklushi praising the city, and the arrival of Kabanova, accompanied by Barbara (daughter) and Tikhon (son) with his wife. In the last act of the play Tikhon confesses to Kuligin that he loves his wife, but because of tyranny his mother will not be able to forgive her. He also pities Boris, whom his uncle sends to Siberia. Glasha runs in and says that Katerina is gone, everyone rushes in search of the heroine.
Tragically, the play "Thunderstorm" ends. A brief summary strikes the reader with Catherine's act. After saying goodbye to Boris, she rushes from the cliff into the river and dies.
