Plant white white: description, properties, use in food

Mar white, or in another way quinoa, is a plant that has an ambiguous reputation. On the one hand, it is a weed that differs incredible vitality and rapid spread. On the other hand, it is a useful herb that has been used for food for a long time. And at the present time delicious salads are prepared from it, and also used as a medicine for colds.

White: description of the plant

Probably, there is no such person in the middle and southern strip of Russia who has never seen this plant near the house or on the garden plot. The grass has many varieties and can be bush or represent a plant with one stem and leaves.

Leaves, as a rule, have a diamond-shaped shape, and on the edges they are decorated with sharp teeth. The name of the white plant was received because of a peculiar white coating on the leaves on both sides. Blossom is flowering from late July to September. Inflorescences are paniculate, their length can be from 10 to 45 cm. One plant is capable of giving about 100,000 extremely hardy seeds during the season. They retain their germination after passage through the esophagus of animals and birds. Do not lose their properties and after a long stay in the soil in anticipation of better conditions for growth.

Harm from weed

White is a weed that requires constant destruction in the kitchen gardens and agricultural fields. After all, the speed of reproduction in quinoa is very large. With untimely taken measures, cultural crops die. In height, the plant can reach about a meter, which creates shading in the garden plots.

They struggle with the invasion of this weed into the fields with the help of herbicides and loosening the soil. In the garden areas, you can cover the marble with a black film so that it burns out. Lawns, clogged with a quinoa, must be regularly mowed so that the seeds do not have time to ripen.

Use in Cooking

People of the older generation remember how in the hungry years of the war the white marsh saved people from starvation. The leaves dried and baked pancakes from them. Most often used seeds, from which they cooked porridge. Abuse of dishes from quinoa can lead to loss of nitrogen-containing substances in the body. As a consequence, there is muscular dystrophy and metabolic disorders. A person is depressed, and immunodeficiency occurs.

In Romania, white white is used as a seasoning for pickling zucchini, tomatoes and lettuce. In winter, it falls to dishes of meat and hominy.

To prepare a vitamin salad, you will need a bundle of herb grass, carrots (you can boil it), sour cream, a teaspoon of vinegar and a pinch of salt. Everything is crushed in any way and dressed with sour cream and vinegar.

There is another recipe. You need to take sorrel (60 grams), quinoa (160 grams), boiled potatoes (4-5 medium tubers), boiled egg. All ingredients are ground and mixed. The dish is served with grated horseradish and vegetable oil.

Fritters from swans and oat flakes

This dish was prepared by our ancestors in Russian furnaces. In the 21st century, the preparation of pancakes underwent some changes. The composition of the modern recipe includes the following herbs and products:

  • quinoa;
  • nettle;
  • green onion;
  • Oat flakes or flour;
  • 1 egg;
  • Salt and spices.

In the bowl of the blender, you need to grind all the greens. Oat flakes are poured with boiling water and infused for 10-15 minutes before swelling. Two masses are connected, one egg and spices are added. On a hot frying pan with butter spoon lay out the future fritters and toasted from two sides. You can serve sour cream or milk.

Use in folk medicine

White is not used in official medicine and pharmaceuticals. But there are many folk recipes using this weed. Which is not surprising, because in the white maria is carotene, saponin, vitamin C, organic acids.

For pulling a splinter and healing wounds used crushed grass quinoa. This means effectively heals the decaying bed of the nail. To prepare the medicine freshly picked grass is kneaded in a mortar.

Infusion of the plant is prepared as follows. Take 4 tablespoons of fresh herb grass, pour a glass of water and boil for 15-20 minutes. The cooled composition treats itchy skin, wounds, rinsing the mouth with gingivitis and throat diseases. Inside take for diarrhea, headaches and hysterical conditions.

Hippocrates in his teachings mentioned the infusion of swans as a cure for cough and hoarseness.

Fresh steamed grass helps with radiculitis. For this, the plant needs to be grinded and applied as a compress to a sore spot and left for a couple of hours for exposure.

The juice from the swans clears the gastrointestinal tract and removes toxic substances from the body. For its preparation the raw material is passed through a meat grinder, the resulting mixture is squeezed. The juice is consumed inside by 70 grams with one tablespoon of honey half an hour before meals. Often, juice is treated with calluses on the legs.

Collect the quinoa in the spring before its flowering. Do not use grass growing near roads. It is best to find a white marina in a cottage or in a village.

Contraindications

Used in large quantities of quinoa can worsen the condition in chronic diseases of the digestive system. You can not use mares in diseases of the urinary system, gall bladder, kidney stones.

Shelf life of the dried raw material is 1 year. After this period, the use of mary will harm the body.
