There is a spindle winged leaflet and with variegated leaves - it rarely blossoms and fructifies. The plant is suitable for partial shade or diffuse light. It will be appropriate to place it on your site so that it is next to the spreading fruit trees. The bright sun will not cause significant damage to the spindle, but only provoke the appearance of a yellowish hue on the leaves and brown spots on the stems. In a thick shadow, the plant will slowly grow. The coloring of the leaves will fade a little - this will somewhat reduce the decorativeness that the winged winglet has. Photos of this shrub, made with abundant sun and shading, are radically different.

The plant will feel best at temperatures of up to twenty degrees Celsius. At a higher it should be often watered and sprinkled daily. If you keep the spindle winglet indoors, in winter it should be moved to a cooler room. Do not put the plant near the central heating battery - this will cause the discard of the leaves. At home, frequent watering, spraying and even washing the leaves are also mandatory. If the plant remains for winter in the open ground, it should be covered with sawdust or needles. In early spring, spindle must be slowly started to water, increasing the amount of water gradually. When freezing, you must hide again. If he grows at home in a pot, then every year the spindle must be transplanted into fresh soil and fed. From the room it can be moved to the site - this should be done in late spring, after the warm weather is established. The plant needs to be cut off annually. But you can not combine this procedure with a transplant - you will get too much stress for the spindle, so that it can become weakened and die.

The winged spindle helps the gardener fight pests. If they are planted on fruit trees, then there are difficulties with spraying them with pesticides (I do not want to do this). And planted near the spindle bait attracts pests - they pass to it and can be safely destroyed by any chemical substances. Only in the case of the moth and the florist this plant will not help. Another of the features of the spindle, forcing to treat it cautiously, is the poisonousness of the fruit. Therefore, if you have small children, then most likely, this plant is not for you. Eating fruits can provoke severe poisoning.
