But how much do we know about them?

The power of wolf teeth is legendary. The wolf has a very strong dental apparatus, which exceeds the teeth of large dogs, especially the canine teeth. Strong teeth and very developed chewing muscles are needed for hunting large animals, in order to tear prey, cope with frozen, sturdy, like stone meat; Crush large bones, dragging prey and defend.

The wolf is able to devour large portions of meat: from 8 to 16 kilograms at a time. Yes, the wolf is a gluttonous beast.

An interesting fact: it turns out that wolves are not just eating meat! At a time when strawberries, strawberries and other berries are ripe , they willingly introduce them into their diet!

The wolf has different voices of different sex and age: the voice has a low tone in the mother's specimen, the wolf has a higher tone, and the cubs whine in general.

The character of the wolf manifests itself when it is necessary to make an important decision. Wolves are very intelligent and just animals, they do not tolerate betrayal, deception and betrayal. When one member of the pack for some reason weakens, the whole pack decides to get rid of the burden - this is a wolfy law.

Wolves are considered to be schooling animals. They have a family: a female and cubs. They reproduce at a very fast rate, so, every spring in the den you can see from four and more cubs. In the period up to six months, the babies are fed by the parents, when the cubs grow up, the older individuals begin to teach them to hunt independently.

Breeds of wolves.

People know only seven breeds of wolves, each of them has its own variety. It:

  • Wolf Gray.

The greyish wolf is very similar to a fox, it has the same red coloration with a yellowish tinge. In length it reaches one and a half meters and weighs up to twenty-five kilograms.

The greyish wolf eats small animals (rodents, birds), eggs of terrestrial birds, mollusks, bananas and other vegetables and fruits.

When the researchers conducted observations of this breed of wolves, they came to the conclusion that the wolfish wolf never violates the territorial boundary. He lives and hunts only in his territory.

This breed is listed in the International Red Book, as representatives of the species remained only 100.

Even if this wolf also has a wolf, they still spend very little time in contact with each other. Only occasionally one can observe a joint family walk.

Wolves are predators who fear nothing, except us - people, those who hunt these majestic and beautiful animals.
