Plaids: trendy trends

What are the trends of the winter of 2013-2014? Always relevant is the already classic plaid plaid. The recognizable Scottish cage is such a familiar combination that it seems as if nothing new has been invented over the last centuries. But, of course, this is not so.

One of the trendy trends are monochrome. It may seem that they are the same type and boring. But there are very original unusual shades. The choice of colors is huge, besides, monochrome plaids are easier to fit into the entourage of housing. Such monophonic plaids fit well into modern styles of high-tech and modern.

In terms of decor, striped blankets - this is a more modern proposal, but less interesting. Strips on blankets can be of different or equal width, contrasting or monophonic, bright or pastel.

Modern manufacturers also offer double-sided blankets. Two different colors, sometimes close to each other, and sometimes contrasting, allow you to add interesting nuances to the situation.

Pleasure and rugs with ornamental design. Often this is a modern interpretation of already well-known decors: intricate Indian, Arab and Turkish ornaments, including, of course, the famous paisley - "oriental cucumbers".

More actual became the geometric decors, and not necessarily symmetrical. Masters with an easy gesture of the hand turn the cells into rumbles, and the strips into zigzags.

Flower decorations of blankets are not as common as geometric, but plaids with large bright colors can be considered as an option for summer holidays in the country, in the garden.

Figures of modern rugs do not lag behind animalistic themes popular in the fashion industry. Plaids under a zebra, a jaguar, a leopard and a skin of reptiles will look great both in ethnic and in classical interiors.

Plaids with pictures and prints - this is generally a separate story. Among them you can meet the most unusual design. Such products, as a rule, strongly dominate the room, so choose and use them must be very thoughtful.

A fashionable tendency is to put logos and family crests of various kinds on plaids. And it's no accident. Note that in ancient times, the inhabitants of Scotland wore plaids as one of the items of national outerwear, and the clan belonging to a person is just a plaid figure. The plaid seemed to reflect the history of the family, it was a kind of symbol of the family, because in his drawing we used threads of clearly established colors and a concrete geometric pattern - tartan (which from Gaelic translates as "color of the terrain").

In the decor of modern "clan" family plaids, ideally the colors of the family coat of arms should be present, and in the corporate decor - the company's colors. Such a gift - beautiful and useful - will cause only positive emotions.

As a rule, lovers of blankets are not limited to just one. Plaid - one of those things that create an atmosphere of comfort, not only by its appearance, but also by texture, density of fabric, tactile sensations. If you buy several blankets of different colors, you can periodically change them (and at the same time the interior), depending on the season and mood. And you can play not only different colors, but also different textures: in winter - fur, wool, in summer - cotton, bamboo, and off-season - woolen and acrylic.

Any plaid that you choose will become a keeper of traditions and will please you in the autumn and winter evenings by the fireplace or in front of the TV. And it will never seem like an extra element of the interior.
