Pistol Yarygin and his features

The number of weapons, which is produced in the territory of Russia, includes a pistol Yarygin (PY). This tool was developed by designers under the leadership of VA. Yarygin, therefore, was named after him. To date, a pistol, which is also called "Grach", is manufactured in a factory in the city of Izhevsk.

The first copy was released back in the 90s, when the Defense Minister of the Soviet Union announced a contest, the participants of which were to create a new army pistol. It was understood that he would replace the already available soldier Makarov pistol, since it did not quite meet all the necessary requirements. A few years after the announcement of the competition, the gun was handed over to Yarygin, who (after seven years) was the best among many other such firearms. At the same time, the PJ was used in the army. A few years later, the given pistol began to be used and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The pistol, developed by the armourer V. Yarygin, goes to the armament of various power bodies at the present time.

The pistol Yarygin can be identified a number of advantages, but there are drawbacks. The construction of this weapon is all-metal. This increases the strength and durability. However, this, in turn, increases weight and reduces manufacturability of production. The firearm of this type uses recoil energy. The barrel of the pistol has a short pullback, which is manifested with a hard lock. The trigger is open. Also, the pistol uses a double-action trigger mechanism. In addition, the gun sight and its adaptation can not be adjusted.

If you draw a line under all the above characteristics, the Yarygin pistol can be considered ergonomic, reliable and convenient. The size of the cartridges used in this pistol reaches 9x19 millimeters.

Among the shortcomings of the PJ, one can single out the factor that when switching from domestic ammunition to NATO production cartridges and vice versa, firearms must be shot again. Pistol Yarygin domestic production is inferior in quality of finishing and manufacturing of imported pistols. If you take into account a sports tool of this type, it has more weakened parts and components, which significantly reduces longevity. Among the variations of the PJA one can distinguish a sports and export modification called "Viking", pneumatic and traumatic pistols. At present, the weapon in many countries of the world is considered to be the one based on the same design that the Yarygin pistol possesses. TTX of the given pistol:

1. The mass reaches 950 g with a barrel length of 112.5 mm.

2. The length of the gun itself is 198 mm, width - 38 mm, and height - 145 mm.

3. The caliber of the pistol is 145, while the speed of the bullet reaches 465 meters per second.

4. The aiming range is fifty meters, but you can fire up to a hundred meters from the pistol.

5. The gun shop consists of eighteen cartridges. Earlier, namely, until 2004, the store contained seventeen rounds.
