A great interest for fans of mobile devices caused a phone from the famous Finnish company "Nokia X3." Its main feature is that it is the only gadget that is not a smartphone that has a touch screen.

Appearance

To begin with, we will provide the list of the "Nokia X3" bundle: instructions, branded charger and headphones - "tablets". The set, frankly speaking, turned out to be scanty.

Although the X3 touch screen, we see that the mechanical keyboard has not gone away: the numbers and hotkeys are hammered together under the display. Of the functional, in addition to "forward" and "back", there are buttons for quick activation of the music player and instant transition to SMS messages. Note that you can not reassign them. Another innovation of the developers is the arrangement of the keys "0", "lattice" and "star": now this trio is not from the bottom of the keyboard, as everyone is used to see, but from the right edge. Navigate through the menu is not entirely convenient; There are also some shortcomings. For example, if there are only two menu items on the displayed screen, and we use the svayp down or up, the gray stripes of the flip effect will appear on the display, although there's nothing to flip through. It looks not very aesthetically. Transitions on the menu are not too fast, which is also depressing. It seems that the sensor here is a completely superfluous function, and a standard joystick would be a much more optimal solution.

Camera

When buying "Nokia X3" users get a very scarce and substandard optics. Despite the fact that in this price segment the figure of 5 Mp looks quite impressive, it will not be possible to achieve even average quality of the images due to the lack of autofocus. The photos are blurry and fuzzy, especially when shooting near objects and text documents. Only the background images, for example, landscapes, come out at a glance. About the night shooting and do have to forget, because the flash here is not provided. There is really nothing to talk about the camera's functionality, because there are no interesting solutions.

The camcorder can shoot movies with a resolution of 640x420 at a speed of 15 frames per second.

Sound

In turn, the next part of the review "Nokia X3" - the characteristics of the audio player and sound. Hot key activation of the player clearly hints that the phone is sharpened to music. It should be noted that with the help of this button it will be possible to activate the player only, it will have to be controlled exclusively through the touch screen.

The speaker here really came out pretty loud, but its quality remains average. The headphones play music well, but wait for something supernatural is not worth it. The headset supplied in the kit is frankly weak, and it will have to be changed immediately to a new one, if we want to use the phone as an FM receiver or mp3 player. Oddly enough, the developers did not provide at least medium vacuum headphones, which are simply required to be bundled with musical gadgets.

Video

On such a small screen and with such a meager resolution to watch movies on the phone is completely uninteresting. It is suitable only for viewing small clips. However, the creators endowed the video player with a lot of different codecs, which allows to play popular formats, such as 3GP, H.264 / AVC, MPEG-4, WMV.

Memory and communication

By default, only 50 MB of internal memory is available to the phone owners. It can be extended with a microSD memory card; The device supports flash drives up to 16 GB.

Quite frankly, "Nokia X3" is not the best decision of the Finnish company. The touch screen is not implemented in the best way: it is inconvenient to operate it. There are some design flaws, such as a convex protective glass and a non-standard arrangement of the "0", "lattice" and "star" keys.

From the pluses we distinguish a loud speaker, a good set of audio and video codecs, a pretty design, a battery and, perhaps, everything. The disadvantages are much more: a weak screen, a bad sensor, a useless camera, scant equipment, a small amount of internal memory, etc. Is this controversial device worth its 5,500 rubles, or still not, to be solved by users.

Externally, the phone looks objectively pretty enough, but still it seemed to many owners not very convenient. The convex edges of the protective screen and the inconvenient arrangement of the classical keys are noted. The keyboard also leaves much to be desired.
