Strong tincture of Slivovitz. Recipe for cooking at home

Slivovitz is a drink that is made on the basis of fermented juice from plums. Its fortress is 45%, and it is classed as brandy. In Croatia, Serbia, Czech Republic, Bosnia and Bulgaria is considered a national drink of slivovitz. Its recipe is very simple, you can cook slivovitz and at home. Use it usually as an aperitif in its pure form. If mixed with another drink, then when you use it you will feel an unpleasant metallic taste.

The recipe for the preparation of slivovitz

Main Ingredients:

  • Plum fruits (eleven kilograms);
  • Water (eight liters).

How to make a slivovitz

The manufacturing process consists of several stages:

  1. Preparation of fruits. Choose sweet or even ripe plums. Fruits can not be washed, just wipe clean with a rag. Next, separate the flesh from the bones (for convenience, divide into two halves). Flesh pulp to the gruel - you can use a meat grinder or blender. We put it in a jar with a wide neck.
  2. Preparation for fermentation. Crushed mass first try, it should be a little sweet. If not, add a little sugar to taste. Stir and try again. Next, bind the neck of the container with gauze and leave in a warm place for a day. This action must be done to start fermentation. In a day, foam should form. This means that the process is proceeding normally. Prepare the bottle and pour the mass there, add water and shake well. Next, install a water trap.
  3. The process of fermentation. Put the container with a water seal in a dark and warm place. Protect yourself from sunlight. The process lasts from three to five weeks. Throughout this time, the water seal will gurgle. And when the bubbles cease to appear, go to the next stage.
  4. Distillation. Fermented berg is poured into the distillation cube. Distillation begins. It is best to take only the second distillation, so that the drink is of high quality. If you use this advice, you will get a fortress of 60% Slivovitz. The recipe itself is simple, but the cooking process is long. The resulting slivovitsu can be diluted as desired.
  5. Infusion. If you have the opportunity to store the drink in oak barrels, we advise you to do so, otherwise bottle it. Enjoy the slivovitz in three months.

Slivovitz: a recipe for instant cooking

Main Ingredients:

  • Ripe plum (1 kg);
  • Alcohol (1/2 liter);
  • Granulated sugar (300 grams);
  • Vodka (1/2 liter).

Cooking process

Method 1

Wipe the plums with a kitchen towel. Cut in half and remove the bones. Put the plums in a bottle and fill them with water and alcohol. We close the stopper and put it for five weeks in a dark place. When the time runs out, add the sugar, shake well and let stand for another five weeks. Then filter (you can take a filter to make coffee or ordinary gauze). We pour out bottles and close them with stoppers.

Method 2

In this case, the plum will be laid entirely in the jar. We fall asleep with sugar, pour vodka. Then close the lid. We put for three months in a dark place. At the end of the time, we filter and bottle. Now you can eat, ready to slivovitz. The recipe is quite suitable for making a drink at home.

Slivovitz is a universal drink that has useful properties. Use it as an antiseptic for cuts, bruises and small wounds, as well as for colds for tinctures and compresses.
