Nissan Pulsar GTi-R - small but powerful car

Nissan Pulsar GTi-R is a car produced by the Japanese car company Nissan between 1990 and 1994 years. This is one of the models of the Nissan Pulsar series - a 3-door hatchback, but outwardly the GTi-R features a large rear wing and air intakes on the hood. The car is equipped with four-wheel drive with turbo charging based on ATTESA 4WD. In addition, its unique SR20DET engine was not installed on any other car. Basic versions

There were two different models of this car, which were sold to the general public. However, they can only be identified by the number on the VIN-plate, since there are no external visual differences.

- RA model:

Model number EBYNR V FN14xxxx. This is an ordinary road car with air conditioning, electric windows and mirrors. Since August 1992, Nissan has made some cosmetic changes in the interior trim of the model, thanks to which it became very noticeable in the background of the series.

- RB model:

The model number is EBYNR R FN14xxxx. It did not have a luxurious finish, air conditioning, electric windows, etc., which allowed to reduce its weight by 30 kg. Some of the luxury items were available as additional options. The engine remained the same as in the RA model, but there were several mechanical changes, such as a manual transmission.

Other versions

- NISMO:

Nismo offered a version of a full-size car based on the Nissan Pulsar GTi-RB model, with some modifications (for example, suspension, seat, safety cage and footrest). A total of 21 cars have been confirmed, all of which are individually numbered on special Nismo VIN plates. Some of them were used as advertising vehicles, the rest were ordered by private buyers.

- GROUP A:

The cars of this group were intended for rally and were not sold to the general public. Participated in international competitions in 1991 and 1992.

- Sunny:

Sunny - a variation of Nissan Pulsar 1998, produced specifically for the European market. She had a different chassis number (EGNN14), and two steering options: right and left. The engine power of this specification was slightly less than that of Pulsar. In addition, Sunny GTI-R had several physical differences from Pulsar, such as a rear volumetric number plate and rear fog lights.

Production

Nissan Pulsar were produced in Japan between 1978 and 2007. GTI-R has also been released in many other countries (including Ireland, USA, Israel, Lebanon, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Trinidad, Barbados, Jamaica, Singapore, Malaysia, Zimbabwe, Canary Islands and Russia).

Pulsar was replaced by the Nissan Tiida hatchback and sedan Tiida Latio.

The name Nissan Pulsar has returned to the world markets on February, 30th, 2013. This is a 4-door sedan made in Thailand. It is available in three models. The basic one is called ST, in the middle of the range is ST-L, and the luxury model is Ti.

At the moment, around the world created a lot of clubs owners and enthusiasts Nissan Pulsar. However, the first of them appeared in the homeland of Nissan - in Japan in 1993.
