New wind turbines made in the form of trees arrived in Paris

One of the main disadvantages attributed to wind turbines is that they often look rather ugly. However, this may change due to the efforts of the French company NewWind. Their new device called Tree Vent is a series of vertical turbines that look exactly like trees.

Such a tree, of course, does not look realistic, but as an object of modern art, which, however, will fit without problems into any urban area. But most importantly, these wind turbines perform a very important function - each of these trees produces a current of 3.1 kW, which, however, is unlikely to be enough to supply energy to any serious object. However, the use of several trees as decorations in a park or along a road can provide enough energy for buildings and houses nearby.

Increased efficiency

These trees are 11 meters in height and 8 meters in diameter at the widest point, which makes them approximately the same in size as most common trees growing in the city. The white barrel is made of steel and can hold up to 72 turbines, which are placed vertically in the crone. This arrangement reduces noise to a minimum, allowing turbines to work in absolute silence. Wind turbines are often very high - this is done to reach the point where the wind is gaining a lot of power, but these turbines are able to function even when the wind blows at a speed of only 7 kilometers per hour, making them twice as sensitive as Traditional turbines. However, they are strong enough to withstand winds reaching 208 kilometers per hour. And given the fact that the device looks like a tree, these wind turbines can be a real breakthrough compared to what is available today.
