New Suzuki GSX R 1000 - high-end motorcycle

Suzuki GSX R 1000 has a new engine, the power of which still remained the same and is 185 hp, generating 12,000 rpm. At first, the chassis was made, which provides good grip with the road, and after that the engine was designed for this chassis.

The declared weight of the ready-made bike is 205 kg, which is a good indicator. Although at the 2009 exhibition the weight of the Suzuki GSX R 1000 was about 203 kg.

The dashboard of the motorcycle is well readable, rather contrast and does not undergo strong vibrations. It shows the figures of non-standard outlines, to which you will get used after half an hour.

The GSX-R 1000 has a conventional clutch, the cable of which consists of a cable and a metallized braid. The previous model of this bike had a problem with the hydraulic clutch drive. It consisted in the fact that with large bends of the motorcycle, a small fluid reservoir allowed air to enter the hoses, which could lead to the clutching of the clutch. This was corrected by replacing the tank. It should be noted that the standard clutch drive works remarkably and saves the weight of the motorcycle.

The Suzuki GSXR 1000 engine spins up instantly, although the difference with the previous model in this regard is not very noticeable. This sportbike can accelerate in 2.5 seconds to 100 km / h.

This model, like the previous one, makes it possible to switch the power mode of the engine using the buttons located on the left-hand clipon. Buttons for changing the mode of the dashboard are located on the right side of the rudder. So it is very convenient, because the process does not detract from controlling the handle of the gas. Modes "A", "B" and "C" are intended to help the driver when changing weather conditions. This improvement in ergonomics has appeared to save time.

Mode "A" gives the driver the full power of the Suzuki GSX R 1000 engine . The "B" mode differs only in that the bike is accelerated much slower than in the "A" mode. It works as an electronic limiter and will be useful in conditions of poor grip on the road surface for those who do not have enough experience for fast driving. Mode "C" differs from "B" only by limiting the maximum power of the bike to 130 horsepower. It is relevant in rainy weather, when tires are not able to transmit the maximum torque to the road surface. This mode can be called the torque limiter, which affects the power of the motorcycle.

Suspension of Suzuki GSX R 1000 has undergone strong changes. The motorcycle was equipped with a longer pendulum and a short wheelbase, which positively affects its handling.

This model combines the accuracy and stability of its predecessors. The rider can significantly influence the behavior of the bike, moving forward and backward.

The new front fork perfectly shows itself at turns at high speeds. She cope with hummocks on the asphalt better than the rear mono-shock.

Suzuki GSX R 1000 is equipped with strong brakes, which is quite enough for driving the city with a large margin. However, they are still a weak component of this model, since the engine power even for such brakes is very high. Although here you can also overdo it, having got too strong brakes, which can lead to bad consequences.
