Museum-Reserve "Tomskaya Pisanitsa": entrance fee, reviews, directions and photos

On the right bank of the Siberian river Tom, just a half hundred kilometers from the city of Kemerovo, there is the museum reserve "Tomskaya Pisanitsa". The official date of birth of the cultural center is February 16, 1988. Among other expositions, special attention should be paid to the ethnographic estate named "Shorskiy ulus Kesek". The museum complex combines a number of residential and household buildings in which Shorians lived during the period of two centuries - the nineteenth and twentieth.

The structures are arranged in the form of chopped rectangular yurts. Such construction of housing appeared under the influence of the way of life and culture of the Russian people. Shors earned their livelihood hunting and forging craft, because of which they were called Kuznetsk Tatars.

Other expositions

Slavic mythological forest is a modern reconstruction of the Slavic temple. The exposition is arranged in the form of a rounded territory, closed by a fence. Inside the courtyard there are wooden idols depicting the main Slavic gods.

The gallery of sculptural stone structures of ancient times reflects the natural and historical origin of the peoples of the Siberian land. It reflects all the mythology and the ancient epic of the Aborigines.

Museum of Rock Art of Asian Nations, Museum of Natural History, Mongolian yurt, Chapel of Cyril and Methodius, complex "Time and Calendars" - only nine museum expositions include the Tomskaya Pisanitsa complex.

The folklore event of the new year's meeting is called "Chil-Pagi" and is held in March. A colorful and bright holiday introduces the guests to the cultural customs and traditions of the Altai peoples. Performances of folk groups, costumes, dishes of national cuisine - all this makes the event an important cultural event of the year.

The holiday Ivan Kupala on "Tomskaya Pisanitsa" has long deserved the love of the people. On this day there are a lot of guests here - usually going to ten thousand. People conduct ceremonies in a clearing, drive roundelays around the fire, bathe in the river Tom and all meet the sun together. The holiday takes place in the Old Believer atmosphere with observance of all the rules. Guests can dress in antique clothes to feel themselves involved in the sacrament of the ancient event. At the celebration, there are necessarily mummified characters of the action - Ivan Kupala, Water and mermaids.

At the end of the summer there is a folk festival of the Brotherhood-feast, marking the completion of the harvest. The organizers of the event conduct it in accordance with ancient customs and traditions. On this day, they arrange old Russian games and fun.

How to get to Pisanitsa
