Milk teeth - useful advice and recommendations

The first milk teeth in children appear in 5-7 months. Already at this time, it is necessary to begin hygiene of the oral cavity of the baby. To clean the milk teeth, use a specially designed toothbrush to be worn on the finger, or rub it with a gauze cloth moistened with pure boiled water.

When a child reaches one year, you can start using a toothbrush with toothpaste. It should not contain fluoride, which negatively affects the children's body. The toothbrush should be selected according to the age of the child and changed once every three months. It should be kept separate from the brushes of adults. You should also rinse your mouth after each meal.

Problems with the formation of teeth also arise from "bad habits": "taste for taste" of everything that comes to hand, sucking on your fingers, sleeping with only a bottle in your mouth - the so-called "nipple syndrome".
The first two lower central teeth are cut, then the root ones, and finally the canines. They fall in the same sequence. There are twenty teeth in total: four incisors, two canines and four molars on the upper and lower jaws. During the period of teething in children, the following symptoms can occur: fever, increased salivation, decreased appetite, general malaise, and stool (constipation or diarrhea). At elevated temperatures it will be useful to consult a pediatrician, as this may be a symptom of some inflammatory disease.

By the time of the formation of permanent teeth (by 4-5 years), the roots of dairy begin to dissolve. The process of renewal of teeth lasts up to 11-13 years and usually does not cause any problems. But if the baby's teeth do not drop out for a long time and prevent them from growing permanently, the dentist may need to intervene to remove them.

The main disease of infant teeth is caries. It develops from the action on the teeth of lactic acid, produced by bacteria from starch and sugar, which are contained in sweet food. The effect of this acid on the tooth tissue (dentin) is much stronger than on the enamel. Therefore, with a slight superficial damage to the enamel, the inside of the tooth can be severely damaged. There are four degrees of tooth decay with caries: initial, superficial, medium and deep. To prevent the disease, giving the children a sweet is recommended after eating. It can be dried apricots, marmalade, raisins, fruit. After the child has eaten the sweet, he needs to brush his teeth.

Parents need to take their children to the dentist once every three months. This allows you to identify the disease at an early stage and accustoms the child to periodic visits to the dentist, further preventing fear from developing in front of them.

At the first signs of caries it is necessary to consult a doctor, otherwise the spread of infection and inflammation will begin. When the inflammation spreads to nearby tissues, periodontitis develops, and in most cases the tooth is to be removed. Milky teeth are more prone to destruction than constant, this must be remembered.

One of the ways to treat caries is silvering. This effective method has one drawback - the teeth become black. This does not have any harm to the body, but it can cause a psychological trauma to the child due to ridicule over the color of the teeth. But in any case, treatment of dental caries should be done.

At present, the treatment of dental diseases is painless and rapid, thanks to the development of medical technologies.

Treatment of baby teeth in children can be done under anesthesia. Advantages of this method: the absence of unpleasant and painful sensations, reducing the risk of complications. Do not neglect the advice of dentists, and then the milk teeth of your children will not cause you problems!
