Medicinal product 'Pyridoxine': instructions for use

Avitaminosis. A word familiar to many. We all know that with vitamin deficiency, immunity is weakened, fatigue appears, hair begins to fall out. Most people are sure that the vitamin deficiency is caused by malnutrition, a lack of vegetables or fruits in the diet. This, of course, is so, but the cause of its appearance is not limited by eating disorders. A lack of vitamins can occur when taking medications (for example, the drug "Sinkumar"). In addition, avitaminosis may simply be a feature of insufficient work of the body, especially in elderly people or very young children.

A deficiency of all vitamins is dangerous to health, but the lack of vitamins of group B is especially bad for the body. People with such imbalance sharply spoil the skin, there is a rash, seborrhea, often - shingles. The general condition worsens: depression begins, the person becomes irritable, the dream is broken. Completely upset the work of the nervous system, both central and peripheral. Stomatitis, vomiting, nausea, gastritis and dysbacteriosis are also signs of a lack of vitamin B6. Sometimes a lack of B6 can develop into peripheral neuropathy - damage to the fibers of the nervous system.

If you have at least one, let alone a few such symptoms, you should immediately go through the examination. If, as a result of the tests, a B6 deficiency is established, the doctor will most likely prescribe the drug "Pyridoxine" in tablets or injections of this vitamin. Usually one course of treatment in combination with a healthy diet and a normal lifestyle is enough to restore the vitamin balance.

Vitamin B6 "Pyridoxine" - the instruction for use explains this - it normalizes the work of the nervous system. Getting into the body, it is phosphorylated, becoming a part of the enzymes involved in reamination and decarboxylation of amino acids. The drug is involved in the transfer of methionine, tryptophan, glutamic acid, cysteine. Without the vitamin "Pyridoxine" (instructions for use warns), lipid and histamine exchanges are impossible.

However, one should not forget that uncontrolled intake of vitamin can lead to seizures, cause allergic reactions, increase production of hydrochloric acid, which, in turn, can lead to gastritis.

When are vitamins "Pyridoxine" prescribed? The instructions for use explain that the medicine is used to treat:

  • Imbalance of vitamin B6, caused by malnutrition, long illnesses or medication;

  • (As a component of therapy) with the elimination of enteritis, diarrhea, sprue (a condition that occurs for an unknown reason and is characterized by prolonged diarrhea, anemia);

  • Prolonged state of stress;

  • Malabsorption syndrome (intestinal absorption disorders);

  • Convulsive conditions caused by the taking of certain drugs;

  • Herpes, tuberculosis, dermatitis and hepatitis (in combination with other medicines).

How do they take Pyridoxine? The guideline recommends for three months to take tablets of 2-5 mg for disease prevention or 20-30 mg for the treatment of diseases. However, this is the usual dosage. In each case, the doctor determines the individual admission scheme for the patient. Children prescribe medicine, taking into account not only the diagnosis, but also the weight, the age of the small patient.

Do not take the drug without seeing a doctor. It is he who determines the duration of the course and the appropriateness of prescribing vitamin B. An excess of Pyridoxine in the body (the instruction for use warns about this in particular) is just as harmful as the lack of this vitamin. But it is possible to cope with avitaminosis more quickly than with hypervitaminosis.
