Carier start

The famous sportswoman was born in Lannemezan on November 20, 1988. Her parents brought up their daughter as a future sportswoman. They devoted a lot of time to her physical training, becoming the first mentors of the girl.

Professional career at the junior level began at Marie-Lor Brunet at the age of 14 years. The first training base on which the sportswoman was engaged was the Training Center in the Alps. High-mountainous slopes, complex trails and elevations allowed the rider to acquire the necessary endurance to a professional biathlete and the ability to cope with difficult parts of the race.

Her mentor for three years was the eminent Thierry Diuerre, who at the moment is the head coach of the women's biathlon team in France. This specialist also worked with Simon Fourcade, a member of the men's team.

High performance in the training process, successful performances in various qualifying competitions allowed Brunet to be accepted into the national junior team. Her debut at the World Championship among young athletes took place in 2006, where the racer won two awards of the highest standard - in the pursuit and relay race.

Achievements

Since 2008, the biathlete started performing in the top division. In the same season, she won her first "adult" medal at the World Cup stage - bronze in the relay race. The following year, Marie-Lor Brunet again showed that she is an indispensable team fighter: largely thanks to her efforts, the French team won the gold and bronze awards.

Perhaps the most successful was for the biathlon season 2011/2012. In addition to two silver relay races at the World Cup stages in Khanty-Mansiysk and Ruhpolding, the athlete showed high results in personal races. She climbed the second step of the pedestal in the mass start, the individual race, and also won a bronze medal in the mixed relay.

The athlete truly loves biathlon. Marie-Lor Brunet is constantly cultivating. It was thanks to this that she, as part of her national team, won gold at the World Cup in Anterselva.

Statistics

In the first year of her professional performances, the racer twice conquered the third stage of the pedestal and three times took the fourth place in the cup stages. In general, the results can not be called outstanding. The athlete most often finished in the top thirty.

The next year was much more successful for the girl. As a result of the World Cup draw, biathlete Marie-Lor Bryne took the 16th place. To climb so high in the overall classification athlete allowed three bronzes (two relay races, pursuit race), two silver (relay races) and gold in the mixed relay.

Six podiums in the 2009/2010 season provided the girl with a place in the top ten in the overall standings of the World Cup.

The next competitive year athlete missed. During this time, she took shape and for the season 2011/2012 came in very good condition. In Ruhpolding, the biathlete won silver medals in all races, and also helped her team win the relay in Anterselva and get silver in the same discipline in the Latvian Hochfilzen.

The next competitive cycle athlete has not been so successful. Two podiums in the relay races and one in the personal could not compensate for the omission of three stages of the World Cup, as well as unsuccessful performances in the middle of the season.
