"M-150" (dry mix): characteristics, features, application

Today in the construction market there are many dry mixtures designed to greatly facilitate and accelerate the workflow. The basis for their production is cement and sand, to which, in order to increase the technological properties of the finished solutions, plasticizers are added to the production. The consumer has only to open the package, pour out the necessary amount of material, add water and mix until a homogeneous mass is obtained.

One of such materials is "M-150". Dry mixture of this brand is produced for different types of work - installation, laying, finishing.

Features

Thanks to the use of special technologies in production and the optimal ratio of components, the material acquires unique qualities, extremely important and necessary for repair work or for construction. It:

  1. Reliability.
  2. High quality.
  3. Excellent degree of adhesion with bases of various kinds.
  4. Economical consumption.
  5. Moisture resistance.
  6. Versatility. The material can be used for outdoor and indoor applications.
  7. Frost resistance.
  8. Water vapor permeability.
  9. Good indicators of soundproof and heat-saving properties.

The weight of the package, in which the dry mix "M-150" is produced is 50 kg.

Material Advantages

To the indisputable merits are very many positive properties. Among them is the opportunity to create an even layer. This is a very important factor when plastering, masonry walls and other works. On the surface of the finished layer, chips and cracks are not formed. But this is possible only if there have been no errors in the preparation of the solution and its application.

The high strength of the dried solution allows using the material of this brand when laying a stone, both artificial and natural. After hardening, the entire area on which the solution was applied remains uniformly dense.

In addition, due to the fact that the mixture is highly frost-resistant, it can be used in all regions of the country, including in the north.

Characteristics of composition

Mixture dry universal "M-150" - a material consisting of several components, taken in the amount prescribed in GOST No. 28013-98.

It:

  1. Portland cement. The brand of the material is "PC 400D0". It does not contain any additives.
  2. Portland cement. The brand of the material is "PC 500". Contains mineral additives D20.
  3. Fractional sand. The dry combined substance contains particles with a range of 0.1-1.2 mm.
  4. Modifying polymer additives. They are needed to improve the astringent properties and overall quality of the material.

But in order for the cement mass to preserve its properties, it must be properly stored. The best place for this is closed dry premises with a temperature of 7 to 35 ° C. The maximum permissible humidity during storage is not more than 70%. But even under such favorable conditions, the material should not be stored for more than 6 months, otherwise it will lose its properties.

Application Features

Like any other material, it requires special treatment and "M-150". Dry mix should be consumed after kneading maximum after 2 hours, otherwise it will harden and become unsuitable for application. Therefore, it is necessary to take care of the preparation of the surface in advance. It must be cleaned of any contaminants. Lubricating oils, grease, dust and other similar substances will reduce adhesion, and a qualitative connection is unlikely to work. In addition, you need to remove those areas that crumble. If there are mosses, algae, fungus infection, they must be removed, and the infected surfaces should be treated with any of the fungicidal preparations.

Those surfaces that absorb fluids must be treated with a primer. Another way out is multiple humidification, but every subsequent time it is necessary to moisturize only after the previous layer has completely dried.

Preparation of the mixture:

  1. In the container for mixing, fill in the necessary amount of material "M-150". The dry mix should be distributed on the bottom, after which warm water is added to it. The proportion is 1: 5.
  2. Stir the solution until the mass is uniform.
  3. After 5 minutes, the mixing procedure is repeated, but the liquid is no longer needed.

Scope of use

The mixture is designed for finishing works on different surfaces. It can be ceilings or walls, on which in the future will be done puttying, wallpapering or painting. But this is not the whole list, where the "M-150" is used. The dry mix is used for the following purposes:

  1. Installation and installation.
  2. Alignment of surfaces in reinforced concrete forms and different structures.
  3. Concreting.

And the mass can be applied to concrete, cement-lime, cement-sand and brick surfaces.

Expenditure and Acquisition

Uninformed consumers are usually interested in how much material they need to buy if they use the dry mix "M-150". Consumption depends on the type of work performed. For example, one square meter. M square, you need about 20 kg of the finished solution, if it is applied by a layer 1 cm thick.

If it is brickwork, then the results are completely different, because they depend on the thickness of the masonry material. The number is indicated in 1 sq. Km. M:

  1. Half of the brick is 25 kg.
  2. One brick - 50 kg.
  3. One and a half bricks - 75 kg
  4. Two bricks - 100 kg.

On sale there is a plaster, installation and masonry and a dry mix "M-150 universal". 50kg weighs the packaging of any kind of substance: it is convenient for transportation, storage and use, but some manufacturers also produce 25kg bags. Which option to choose depends only on the volume of upcoming works and on the manufacturer's rating. If the latter does not inspire confidence, it is better not to save money and turn to proven brands.
