Lucifer 's own name is enveloped in the mystery and ambivalence of the attitude towards him. For some, it is associated with godlessness, for someone - it is impermissible even to utter, because it concentrates in itself evil. And yet, since there is a name for Lucifer, whoever or what is hidden behind this name, everyone should know. Recently, along with the revival of Christian traditions, like mushrooms in the forest, there are some new, homegrown religions aimed at unconditional worship of something or someone, and not the upbringing and elevation of the soul. Even the scandalously famous Sergei Mavrodi published a book, where the name mentions the son of Lucifer.
A bit of history
In ancient Rome, Lucifer is the most common male name. In translation from the Latin and Greek languages, its meaning was understood approximately equally: "the first morning light". And this light was connected with the planet Venus. It was on our sky the brightest "morning star" after the Moon and the Sun, and its name is found in Virgil in "Aeneid". Yet for the first time Lucifer is mentioned in the Old Testament (the book of Isaiah) in relation to the dynasty of the Babylonian kings, who in their pride became like the fallen angel.
The former angel
It's none other than the devil himself. Everyone knows the legend of how a mighty archangel was thrown from heaven. And his name is Lucifer. Whoever challenges this, he must understand the futility of such attempts. Even if in ancient times the passage of the Bible was mistakenly interpreted, now it is impossible to rehabilitate the name of Lucifer - it will forever remain a synonym for Satan. But the fact that he, called to bring light, turned out to be the ruler of evil, undoubtedly requires understanding and correct interpretation. God is love, infinite creation and perfection. God gives everyone the right to self-determination. God himself obeys the laws by which he creates. So it can not punish anyone by definition, however, like the devil Lucifer. Whoever does not realize this, the first may find himself on the hook of a comforting self-deception that can neither exalt nor save, it is that road leading to hell that is strewn with good intentions. No one has power over a man - he makes decisions himself: he punishes himself, elevates himself, and obeys the same laws as all the celibates. True, the chosen path can lead to God, and can make an accomplice of evil. That temptation, which Lucifer once succumbed, eats everyone, without exception. This is how it continues, not abating for a second, the struggle for every soul in every soul.
Do not know what they are doing
The stage of God-struggling as a heritage of Lucifer passes (consciously or not) every person. This can be called a search for a way to God. True, some are lost on this road and go to a dead end, and then, in their helplessness, they choose Satan for themselves as idols, thinking that they thereby challenge the unjust device of the world, forgetting that all tears and sorrow on earth are the work of human beings, and not Someone's fishing. People are presumptuous in their desire to create another world in the same way as Lucifer once did. Who invented this, that the world can be remade by one, even the strongest person? And yet evil is attractive. Many artists, even being creators of God, tried to understand its nature. And some managed to do it. This, for example, is evidenced by the story of the canvas "Demon" by Vrubel and the impact the beautiful young man depicted on him has on people (there were several attempts to destroy this picture). Virtually all world classics wanted in their works to dissect the evil, to show all its fetidly wrong side to develop people's immunity. But it did not work. Moreover, it is unlikely that this is possible under the current director of horror films with a talking pseudonym - Lucifer Valentine (and this is a woman). To show unmotivated evil is to generate it repeatedly.
