Lucas Moura is a Brazilian from PSG

Lucas Moura is one of the strongest Brazilian players of our time, and also one of the most interesting in the game plan winger in the world. He stands for the French club PSG, which is currently the undisputed leader of the French Championships, as well as a serious contender for the victory in the Champions League. Lucas Moura is still very young, and the brightest career awaits him.

Carier start

Lucas Moura was born on August 13, 1992 in Brazil, where he began to get involved in football. At the age of six, he enrolled in the football school named Marcelino Carioca, whence the following year he entered the football academy of the Santa Maria club from São Paulo. There, the boy spent another year, finding himself in the academy of the club "Juventus", based in the same city.

In 2002, the Junior Corinthians scouted the boy and invited him to the system of one of the strongest clubs in Brazil. There he spent three years, after which he moved to the academy of the club "Sao Paulo", with which he entered into a professional contract in 2010 when he turned eighteen. Lucas Moura was not immediately considered a genius talent - some time passed before everyone could see what he was capable of.

The game for "Sao Paulo"

In the Brazilian club in his first season, Lucas Moura - a football player who at that time was unknown to anyone and did not represent anything special, spent 25 matches, scoring four goals. His performances began to attract the attention of scouts, and he himself demonstrated incredible abilities. In the second season in the club the sportsman had already 43 matches and scored 13 goals. By the time Lucas's third season began, everyone knew about him, and the world's leading clubs began to hunt for him. As a result, in 2013 the winger played 60 matches, scoring 16 goals in them, and became a tasty morsel for all the leading clubs in the world.

Go to PSG

As a result, the choice of Lucas fell on the French PSG, which paid the Brazilian club an incredible amount - 40 million euros. Lucas entered the top three most expensive players of that year: two compatriots Hulk and Tiago Silva beat him (the latter, by the way, also moved to PSG). Naturally, the player took some time to adapt: at the end of the season 12/13 he played in 15 games without scoring a single goal. But the following year he became a regular base player, going on the field in 52 games and scoring 5 goals.

Over the next two years, midfielder PSG Lucas Moura held 100 matches in which he became the author of 21 goals. And in each of these seasons he, along with the Parisian club became the Champion of France, and also won two French Cups and three League Cups. In the current season after the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic Cavani moved to the position of the central striker, and Lucas took his place, becoming the key player of the attack. While the athlete spent ten matches, in which he scored five goals and gave two assists.

National team appearances

In the Brazilian national team, Lucas was summoned long before he moved to Europe, in 2011, when he was only 19 years old. He made his debut in a friendly match against the team of Scotland, held in March 2011. Already after three friendly games, the 19-year-old went into the 2011 America's Cup bid, where he was a substitute in all four matches.

The first goal Moura scored in a friendly against Argentina in September of the same year. At the Confederations Cup in 2013, he was also called, but came on the field only in two substitution matches. World Cup 2014 and the 2015 America's Cup Lucas missed. His last match for the national team took place in June 2016 in the Central American Cup, where the athlete was replaced in a duel against the national team of Ecuador. Since the moment Lucas moved to PSG, his challenges to the national team have become much less frequent than before. But now he is already entrenched in the backbone of a strong club, gained experience and is ready to defend the colors of his country.
