Italian striker Giampaolo Pazzini

Giampaolo Pazzini is an Italian striker, who managed to play in various football clubs of his native country. Unfortunately, he did not become a real star, he is not a brilliant player, but still in all the clubs where he lingered, he showed an excellent game and a good result. His goal was to score goals - and he did it when it was required of him. What career path was Giampaolo Pazzini? For what teams did he manage to play and what did he remember there?

Carier start

Born Giampaolo Pazzini August 2, 1984, football began to get involved in the early years, but in full-fledged football academy of the club "Atlanta" got only at the age of fifteen. There, he showed good results during three years of performances for youth teams, so he was offered a professional contract when he turned eighteen. In his first season, he did not get any practice games and continued to play for a double, but he was so impressed by the team's leadership that next year, at the age of 19, he was already a key player in the club. He played forty matches, scoring ten goals in them, and the next season began more vigorously, scoring six goals in sixteen matches in the first half. The success of Giampaolo Pazzini did not go unnoticed, and the young talented striker was spotted by large Italian clubs, among which was Fiorentina. She laid out six and a half million euros for the player.

Flowering in the "Fiorentina"

In the winter of 2005, Pazzini was in the camp of "violets", where the young attacker immediately began to trust the place at the base. Naturally, not so often - in most cases he went on to replace and scored 15 goals in 15 matches. However, from the next season it was possible to see more often on the field of such a player as Giampaolo Pazzini - the player started to go out in the starting lineup and score for the new club. In total, he spent three full seasons in Fiorentina and twice six months at the beginning of his stay there and at the end. During this time he played in 134 games and scored 33 goals. In the winter of 2009, a 24-year-old footballer came to the attention of "Sampdoria", which offered "violets" as much as nine million euros, to which the club gladly agreed. And Giampaolo Pazzini, whose photos were already on the front pages of many Italian sports publications, changed club registration.

Going to "Sampdoria"

In "Sampdoria" Pazzini spent only one full season - he again made the transfer in the winter, so the full season adds two more halves. During this time he spent as many as 87 matches in which he scored 48 goals - an impressive figure that attracted the attention of larger clubs. It was then that Giampaolo Pazzini started a gesture, which absolutely all fans will now recognize. When he scores a goal, he brings two fingers to his mouth, between which he thrusts his tongue.

Unsuccessful start in "Inter"

In winter 2010 another transfer of the Italian striker was made - this time it was acquired by Milan "Inter", which laid out for the player an incredible amount of 18 million euros. Unfortunately, the striker's expectations were not justified - for a year and a half spent in "Inter", he played a decent number of matches, as many as sixty. But he scored only 19 goals - of course, this is a good result, but it turned out that for every goal the leadership laid out for a whole million euros, which the club clearly did not like. And in the summer of 2012, Pazzini was sold to another Milan club.

A new beginning in "Milan"

Caught in "Milan", Pazzini very quickly started, scoring 16 goals in the first season. But it was then that the legendary club began to shake in a fever, and already a middle striker had undergone trauma. Therefore, in the next two seasons he scored just eight goals in 49 games, after which the contract was not extended, and he was released for free to Verona.

Continuation of his career in "Verona"

In the new club, Pazzini has been performing since 2015, that is, he has spent only one season so far, playing 31 matches and scoring six goals. Now he is already 32 years old, so he is not looking for new challenges - Giampaolo is already thinking about retirement, but can not yet say if it will happen in 2020, when his contract with Verona expires, or he still Will move to another club under the curtain of speeches. Or he decides to finish early - it remains only to watch his wonderful game.

National team appearances

In Italy, Pazzini did not play a leading role - there were always stronger and more promising strikers. He made his debut in 2009 in a match against the team of Montenegro, and his debut was painted with a goal, which he scored, coming on as a substitute. As a result, he went to the 2010 World Cup, but spent only 23 minutes on the field, not having scored any effective action. But more in large tournaments Pazzini did not participate - he played only 25 matches for the national team, scoring in them four goals and giving four assists. The last match he held in 2012, when he was released to replace the match against the team of Malta.
