early years

The future football genius was born in 1981 in Sweden, in the city of Malmö, while his father was a Muslim, and his mother - a Christian. Because of this, sometimes there is a false information that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a Muslim, but it is not. The footballer himself admitted more than once that he does not consider himself to be one of the existing religions. But this did not stop him from becoming a brilliant player. Zlatan Ibrahimovic started his career in his hometown, in the same club "Malmo". There he graduated from the football academy, played for the youth squads of this club, and then signed with him his first professional contract at the age of 17 years.
