Litical mixture

A serious test for parents is the illness of their children. Fortunately, for today in drugstores the wide spectrum of medical preparations, allowing to cope with infirmities of kids is presented. They relieve the body of the child of the disease and normalize body temperature. The lytic mixture is one of the most popular antipyretic drugs for the youngest to date.

It is recommended to use it only if the candles and children's syrups do not cope with the problem. Most often, the lytic mixture is used for influenza. However, one should not ignore the fact that this remedy is not absolutely harmless for your child. Especially it concerns cases of incorrectly chosen volume of a medicine, because any pharmaceutical agent differs from a poison only in its dosage.

Do not panic if the temperature of the baby has risen above forty degrees Celsius. Such a reaction can be a consequence of the child's organism's struggle with the developing infection. Therefore, such a frightening mark on the thermometer does not necessarily mean any serious illness. However, in any case, postpone the visit to the doctor in charge is not worth it. The body temperature of the baby rarely rises to 41 degrees Celsius, but if it does happen, it means that the reason is not the usual catarrhal disease.

The lytic mixture, introduced immediately after the detection of high temperature, simply will not allow the body to perform the protective function on its own. The same applies to any other antipyretics. That's why you should not try to quickly and dramatically reduce the temperature of your baby by any means. Preferably it will bring it down to the level of 37.5-37.8 degrees.

The lytic mixture, applied immediately after the temperature rise, can cause febrile convulsions due to sudden jumps. To introduce a medicine so quickly it is possible only in extreme cases (at the conditions threatening a life of the kid).

Litic mixture. Composition:

- Analgin - 50%;

- Dimedrol - 1%;

- papaverine - 0.1%.

This dosage is calculated for a child at the age of one year. It is this combination of drugs that normalizes the reaction of the reticular formation of the brain and reduces the body's need for oxygen. In some cases, papaverine is replaced with novocaine. Among all the components, analgin best removes heat (relief comes, usually, ten to fifteen minutes after the injection), it copes with the problem much better than acetylsalicylic acid or paracetamol. But this tool can be used intermittently for at least six hours.

A lytic mixture is administered to children in the gluteus muscle. The procedure requires strict adherence to the rules of antiseptic and asepsis, otherwise an abscess may develop, accompanied by suppuration of the muscle fibers and subcutaneous layer. When using this tool, one should consider possible intolerance to the child of one of the components of the drug. In order to rule out unpleasant consequences, it is necessary to check the reaction of your child's organism to this mixture before its introduction. For this it is recommended to drip one or two drops of the drug under the lower eyelid of the baby. In the presence of allergies, discomfort in the form of redness and rezu appear in five minutes. If there is no reaction, the lytic mixture can be used without hindrance.
