International Labor Organization - guarantor of observance of labor relations

Nevertheless, human rights must be respected rigorously. This, of course, relates to the employment and work of a person. The employer must provide the necessary conditions for carrying out all activities.

There are certain situations when a person can not cope with some problems. To find ways to effectively resolve the conflict, there are organizations such as trade unions, various committees and so on. However, reality is somewhat different from what we are accustomed to imagine.

It can be said that the international labor organization performs the same tasks that were assigned to it by the UN.

History of creation

  The question of creating such an organization arose in the early 20th century. After the conclusion of the Versailles peace it was decided to organize another subdivision of the League of Nations, which would monitor the implementation of labor contracts and protect the rights of working people. This happened in 1919.

Later, many countries began to support this idea, and the international labor organization began to gain increasing popularity. In 1934, the organization expanded due to the accession of the USA and the USSR. The International Labor Organization maintained its continuity even during World War II, although at that time it was necessary to move the headquarters to Canada.

Thus, the ILO can be considered one of the most popular and oldest international organizations, which has been operating for several decades without interruption.

ILO in the modern world

  The main goal of the ILO is now to monitor the implementation of labor contracts, and the organization promotes socio-economic growth and progress. At the same time, it constantly struggles to improve the working conditions and welfare of people.

The main document is the convention of the international labor organization. This is a document that is of great importance. This is a kind of agreement between the states, according to which they are obliged to strictly observe the implementation of universally recognized rules on labor relations.

However, one should not confuse some things, for the essence of the organization of labor is not only to force employers to improve working conditions and raise salaries, but also to create conditions when the employer will not be too unprofitable to provide these improvements.

In this case, we are talking about a purposeful policy that acts on the whole sector of the economy, and not just on individual states or enterprises. Members of the ILO are constantly developing various programs that help to solve certain social issues. Also, the international labor organization assists countries in combating unemployment , etc.

Methods for achieving results can be different. As a rule, the international labor organization tries to establish partnership relations of some states that can provide assistance, develop various programs and monitor their implementation, and also try to establish effective cooperation of the government of the country with entrepreneurs and workers.
