Lake Arakhley: description, rest, fishing

Lake Arakhley is located in the Asian part of Russia, 40 km from the city of Chita, the Trans-Baikal Territory. Refers to the Ivano-Arakhley system of small reservoirs of the Yenisei basin. It is part of the Yenisei water area.

The origin of hydronyms

There are two versions of the origin of the name of this lake. The first version tells of the Evenk roots of the hydronym. Since the XVII century the Evenk name - "Arakley" was used. The etymology is unknown. In the Buryat variant it was transformed into "Arakhley". This name is fixed and exists until now. According to an alternative version, the hydronym is derived from the Buryat language. Today, locals call the lake - Arahalenur. A piece of "hel" is often found in Buryat toponyms and means "a small place", and "Ara" is the "back side". Thus, the name "Arachley" may be understood as a "northern shallow lake".

Characteristics of the pond

Arachley is a fairly large lake. Its surface area is 58.5 km ² . The reservoir extends 10 km in length and 7 km in width (approximately). The volume of water is 0.61 km³. The greatest depth is about 19 m.

Lake Arakhley has a fairly diverse flora. It registered 27 plant species. As for the fauna, there are 15 species of fish in the water area. Among them, perch, bream, crucian, roach, pike, dace, catfish, etc.

One of the features of the reservoir is very clear water. In calm weather, with a weak wind, depths of up to 4 meters can be seen. Arakhley is a part of the Ivano-Arakhlei state natural landscape reserve. The lake is localized two villages - Preobrazhenka and Tasei.

Fishing

Many inveterate fishermen come to the lake Arakhley in the hope of a rich catch. It is popular fishing from the shore and underwater hunting. The most common fish is perch. On the worm it is good to catch in the summer. Also suitable are silicone attachments and "turntables." In winter, for fishing as a nozzle is very good bormash (the local name of mormyshki). April is the time when the roach and the falcon are getting into huge spawning schools. A big catch for fishermen is provided until mid-May.

Recreation

Many tourists who come to the lake Arakhley rest in tents. In the summer months on the banks of the reservoir you can see the tent camps stretching for several kilometers. People usually sunbathe, play sports games, bathe. For visitors there is also an opportunity to ride on bananas, water skiing and catamarans.

Rest on the lake Arakhley can afford each person. Especially for guests on the banks of the reservoir, many tourist bases are open.

Recreation center "Pristan"

It works 365 days a year. It is located in the area "Bolvanka". For visitors here heated lodges are organized: 2 for 4 seats and a large building, divided into 2 rooms. In each residential area there are refrigerators, electric hot plates, electric kettles, wash basins, wood stoves.

Visitors to the base can sunbathe on the beach, where there are sunbeds, beach umbrellas, a place for campfire and barbecue. There you can rent a boat or catamaran. A summer cafe is open for visitors . Children can spend time on the playground. Guests of the hostel spend time for various games, for example, table tennis, billiards, air hockey.

Recreation center "Teremki"

It is located on the second coastline of a pond such as Lake Arakhley (Zabaikalsky Krai) in the area of Peski. In the summer season can accommodate up to 50 people. The base consists of a two-story building and several summer wooden houses. The building includes rooms for 2 and 4 places with kitchen, where there is a stove, refrigerator and electric kettle. Wooden houses offer four-, six- and eight-bed rooms. At the guests disposal are a sauna, a brazier and a snack bar.

Holiday Village Rossich

It is located in the village of "Preobrazhenka". At the same time, 140 people can be accommodated here. It works 365 days a year, which makes recreation near such a water object as Arakhley Lake (the photo is in the article), the most pleasant, because you can stay for a long time! It offers meals for guests 3 times a day. The base provides rooms with a capacity of 2 to 10 people.

Tourists can visit the cafe-bar, bathhouse. Of the entertainment there are table tennis, volleyball, boat rental. For children there is a playground and a children's room.

Recreation center "Listvyanka"

It is located in the area of "Bolvanka". Provides a level of service of a class "lux". The base offers comfortable rooms for 2 people, located in a building for 8 people. There are also summer houses for 3 people. The main types of entertainment: a restaurant of Chinese and Russian cuisine, a children's playground and a barbecue.

How to get to the lake?

From Chita to Arahleya can be reached by car along the P436. The final destination is the village of Tasei. Time on the road will be just over an hour. At the end on the way, lakes begin to meet. The first of them is Tasei, the second is Ivan. Upon arrival in the village of Tasei, you can go to the lake Arakhley, which is located about 2 km from the village.

You can also reach the pond by bus number 219, which goes from Chita to Beklemishevo. The route runs through all the settlements around the lake: Tasei, Peski, Preobrazhenka. You can land in any of them, depending on which side you need to get to such a pond as the Arakhley Lake. Recreation bases are located in all the nearest districts.
