Homeliness, Do it yourself
Installing the satellite dish yourself: in this case there is nothing complicated
If you purchased a satellite dish, you will immediately be asked about the ways of installing it. Of course, you can invite specialists for this. But is this a rational decision? Installing a satellite dish yourself is quite real and not at all difficult. The first thing to do in this case is to determine the place where your antenna will be located. This will help you with these tips:
- An open survey is required on the satellite. Between the antenna and the satellite there should be no obstacles (windows, balcony peaks, etc.)
- All satellites are located in the south-west and south-east direction. It is advisable to check the direction of the compass.
- The antenna should be in an easily accessible place for you, but inaccessible to other places.
Fastening hardware
After that, the installation of the satellite dish must start directly. To begin with, it is necessary to mount the wall mount strictly 90 °. Make sure that the fastening pin is straight, without tilting. If the installation site was chosen as a balcony, then the fence is drilled through and the support is fastened with long bolts that have a large diameter. In a situation where the installation of a satellite dish with their own hands will occur on the wall, self- eroding anchor bolts will fit .
Antenna collection and stripping
When the fasteners are installed, you should proceed to collect the antenna (strictly following the instructions!). Take care not to damage the parabolic glass. This can adversely affect the signal level. Also, pay attention to the correct position of the multifids and converters. The installation of the satellite dish itself must be accompanied by a cleaning of the cables. After stripping the upper layer of the wire you can see a screen consisting of a large number of elements - they should be bent to the cable.
