Indian Ocean - the warmest ocean on the planet

Everyone knows that there are four oceans on our planet . Quiet is the largest and deepest, the Arctic - the smallest and coldest, the Atlantic - the most saline. And which ocean is the warmest? Indian! It is considered the third largest and covers an area of about 76 million square kilometers, washing the coast of Antarctica, Australia, Eurasia and Africa. It has a complex bottom relief, which is formed by continental slabs: Hindustan, Arabian, African and Antarctic. At the junction of the plates are located mid-ocean ridges. They are divided into three parts of the ocean floor. The depth (on average) is about 4 thousand square meters. Maximum depth in the Sunda Trench, it is fixed at a level of more than 7.5 thousand meters.

So, the Indian is the warmest ocean. This is due to the fact that its northern part is the warmest in comparison with other oceans because of good warming and isolation from cold water masses. In the waters of the Persian Gulf, the water temperature reaches more than 30 degrees, and the Red Sea flows into the ocean, which is considered to be the warmest in the world.

The warmest ocean has a great salinity. The reason for this is high evaporation, and also that there is insufficient desalination of water.

The Indian Ocean is characterized by monsoons. This is due to the extensive borders with the continents. The contrast pressure over the ocean and above the land causes strong winds. In winter, over Asia, the area of increased pressure promotes the formation of the northeastern monsoon, and in the summer it changes in the moist south-west. In the summer, there are winds with a strength of more than 7 points. In winter, the weather is sharper (in the form of floods and hurricanes on land). In the southern tropics, the southeast trade wind prevails. The high speed of trade winds and monsoons forms surface currents, which change every season. The largest such trend is the Somali. It flows in the winter from north to south, and in the summer it changes direction to the opposite.

The warmest ocean has a great variety in the plant and animal world. The wealth of living organisms and plants is most widely represented in the coastal areas and the tropical region. The water mass is saturated with plankton - food for large fish. The most numerous fish in the Indian Ocean are a variety of sharks, tuna, and koryfen. Sea giant turtles and snakes, cetaceans, seals, sea elephants are found. Often there are brown and green algae. In a constantly warm water area, coral structures and polyps are widely distributed. The islands of mainland Sri Lanka and Madagascar are considered to be the largest. Determine what the warmest ocean on the globe, and the fact that on the water expanses of the Indian Ocean are such popular resort islands as the Seychelles and the Maldives.

The natural resources of the Indian Ocean are used less than those of other oceans. Although fishing in the economy of many countries plays a big role. And the main fish is tuna. The warmest ocean is rich in oil and gas. According to their reserves and production, it ranks first. One of the largest oil fields is the Persian Gulf.
