How to prepare a steak from a turkey in the oven

Not so long ago the steak entered the list of dishes often prepared by our compatriots. Basically, due to the fact that a thick piece of meat is thoroughly cooked either on a grill, where an open fire is needed, or in a grill pan. Neither the one nor the other most ordinary Russians can not boast. However, recipes slowly adapt to our realities. And not only the cooking methods, but also the ingredients used, because cooking a turkey steak is easier and faster than from traditional beef.

Turkey steak with mustard

For him, you can use both poultry fillets and commercially available billets. Before preparing a steak from a turkey, washed and dried meat is rubbed with salt and, if desired, pepper. The ovens are covered with foil, which must be oiled. By the way, for this recipe it does not matter how it is - vegetable or melted creamy. Steaks are laid out, a thick sauce made of Dijon mustard, fat cream (take a quarter cup) and mayonnaise, taken three times more than one of the previous ingredients, is poured onto each of them with a spoon. This amount should be enough for 6 pieces of turkey. From above everything turns into one more piece of foil. Its edges are wrapped around the sides of the tray. Such a steak from the turkey in the oven will hold for about half an hour. In principle, control the process: if the sauce starts to drain from the turkey, it should be returned to the place with a spoon. Eat this yummy hot, with cherry tomatoes and fresh herbs.

Steaks with tomatoes

They work out better from fillets. The shin itself is juicy, but the poultry's flesh is rather dry. One and a half kilograms of fillets are cut across the fibers to narrow, but not too thin plates. Two tomatoes are cut into thin rings, salted, peppered, and mayonnaise is squeezed out into each of them. How much, depends on how much you love him. But even if you do not like mayonnaise, you can not do without this sauce, as it is impossible to cook a steak from a turkey in this way without it. Sour cream here can not be replaced. The only thing you can do is build mayonnaise yourself. Salted and peppered tomato slices, covered with mayonnaise, are put on each turkey steak. In the oven, the temperature rises to 180 degrees. The tray is placed in it for 50 minutes. At once it is better not to get a dish out of the oven, let the meat "rest" in the heat. But in ten minutes a fragrant and juicy turkey can be served for dinner.

Garlic steaks

The first two recipes we had were "oven". However, there is a recipe for how to cook a steak from a turkey in a frying pan, and it is promised that the result of all will suit and inspire. To do this, the work pieces from the lower leg or thighs of the bird are not deep cut by a grid from both sides. A mixture of grated on a fine grater or crushed garlic, a set of different ground peppers and salt is made. This "pasta" steaks are rubbed, and we must try to get it in the notches. Then the meat is stacked, for the night hides in the refrigerator. In the morning steaks are fried in vegetable oil, under the lid, for twenty minutes. In order not to stick, they must sometimes be turned over. And to get the cherished crust, just before the readiness is simply removed the lid.

Turkey steak on the bone

For a successful result, the meat will also have to be marinated, this time only for a quarter of an hour and in a mixture of curry, paprika, salt and ground peppers - red and black. Each such turkey steak with a bone is fried in a thick-walled frying pan in olive-cream butter. When the meat turns rosy, right in a frying pan removed from the stove, you need to cover it for a few minutes with foil or parchment. Thanks to this trick, a turkey steak with a bone becomes extremely soft and juicy. And in combination with vegetables - fresh or salty - your dinner promises to be unforgettable.

The shin is a suitable part of the bird

Before preparing a steak from a turkey, the purchased shin should be cut - straight with a bone - across the leg. It turns out these sort of kruglyashi, very juicy and well-roasted. You can, of course, buy ready-made "holed" steaks, but in most supermarkets they are sold frozen, which is much more boring fresh. Two onions are cut with rings, a pair of garlic lobules are very finely cut (do not rub or squeeze, it's better to work with a knife). At first, onions are allowed in the pan, garlic is added to them at the end. Steaks are rubbed with vegetable oil, salted and peppered. To mitigate, they should lie in this form for about half an hour. The frying pan grills strongly. If there is no special vessel, the one at the bottom of which there is a convex lattice, as in old cast-iron ones, will do. Meat is laid out in a dry frying pan, then it is very quickly browned from both sides. After it, a third of a glass of water is poured into it, and it hides in the oven for half an hour. The meat is served with fried and sprinkled with greens. Note that the turkey shank is more juicy than fillets. It is almost impossible to dry it.

Marinated in lemon

Before preparing a steak from turkey, it can be soaked in the following way: combine two spoons of lean oil, one - rose wine, juice of one lemon, five crushed garlic cloves, spices and chopped greens. Meat is enough to stay in this marinade for only half an hour, so that the result is gentle and odorous. Further - by choice:

  1. Frying pan (if any). It is just on both sides of the fried marinated chunks of turkey.
  2. Lattice (if you rest on the "nature"). The principle is the same, according to which the fish is cooked at the stake, for example. The main thing - periodically sprinkle "shish kebab". Say, beer. Otherwise, it can burn and become hard.
  3. Or the oven is the most affordable option. In the latter case, the form is smeared with something, then the steaks are laid out and baked until crusty. The lid should not be closed, otherwise the meat will be cooked (or stewed) rather than baked.
