How to make a crossbow of paper? Paper crossbow with our own hands

Modern children spend most of their free time at the computer, tablet or smartphone. They no longer play in the street, as before, do not include their imagination, do not invent something unusual. Naturally, times change, generations too, so do not be upset, it's a natural process. But you have a chance to give your child the opportunity to learn how to do something with their own hands, while supplying him with new toys. For example, you can show him how to make a crossbow from paper.

Use of the lesson for the child

Many parents may be outraged, because to make something with their own hands is already irrelevant, it will only take the child's time, and also take precious minutes from parents, because such an occupation still needs to be taught, helped, and evaluated. But you do not have to worry - naturally, there are crafts, which can take hours or even days to make, but nobody forces you to choose them. In order to teach a son or daughter how to make a crossbow from paper, you need a maximum of half an hour, but then the child will have a full toy and a sea of joy from the realization that he made it himself. You can use this when you want to take a little break from the baby, which constantly requires your attention - give him the material, and he will immersed himself in the manufacturing process, then to come running to you with a shining face, demonstrating the result. So do not underestimate the benefits of such a lesson - in any case, no one bothers you to try. And for the sample is ideal for creating a crossbow.

What do you need?

If you are interested in how to make a crossbow made of paper, then first of all you need to decide what you need to make it. Naturally, the main component is paper, you need at least 10 sheets, preferably A4, because of them it will be much easier to make a crossbow. Also they are the most accessible, so you should not have problems with finding this material. But how to make a crossbow from paper, without attaching it? To make fasteners you will need a regular scotch, which is also very easy to get. Another obligatory element is a pencil, which will play the role of an arrow, charged in a crossbow. As a string, you will need to use a thread, but you need to make sure that it is thick enough and strong. To make the details of the desired shape you will need scissors, and to make the process more fun, you should get ice cream. But when you eat it, do not rush to throw away the remaining wooden sticks - they will come in handy to create a full crossbow made of paper and pencil. That's all the components that you will need - as you can see, there is nothing supernatural, all the components can be found either at home or buy at a nearby store.

Creating the arms of the crossbow

In order to make a crossbow with your own hands made of paper, you will need to go through three stages, and the first of these is the manufacture of shoulders. First, you need four pieces of paper, which you need to fold in half along and cut, keeping the fold line. After that, take the resulting small sheets and roll them into the tube, if necessary using a pencil. Once the tube is ready, fasten its edges with adhesive tape to avoid unwinding, then repeat the procedure with the remaining half of the small sheets. But this is just the beginning - to give the shoulders a crossbow of strength, you will need to put into the paper tubes a stick of ice cream. On the one hand measure four centimeters on a tube and on a stick, insert the stick to the mark and break it so that it remains inside the tube. After this, bend the tube and from the other end insert another stick, and then repeat the procedure with the other shoulder. To a crossbow made of paper and pencil was more reliable, fix all the result obtained with scotch tape.

The second stage: we create the basis

After the shoulders are ready, you can proceed to create the basics of the crossbow, which is also called a pile, since arrows are placed there. To do this, you need five sheets of paper, which you again fold, using a pencil for better effect, and fix with tape. From the edge where the shoulders will be fastened, this tube needs to be made flattened - to these squiggles they will lie down. And again, attach everything very reliably, using an adhesive tape, so that your crossbow does not fall apart, but served for a long time and was at the same time reliable. Here you can also make a small tube-sight from the part of the remaining sheet, which will be slightly larger in diameter than the pencil - through it will pass the arrow at the release. The remaining paper is used to make two small tubes at the base of the crossbow - there will be an arrow.

Setting the trigger trigger

But the crossbow differs from the bow in that it has a trigger trigger that automatically releases the string and sends the arrow into a free flight. To make it, you will first need to attach a thread to the edges of the shoulders of the crossbow. Then pull it to the stop and in a place that comes into contact with the base of the crossbow, make a small hole, with the bottom it should be a bit wider than the top. There will be a trigger that you can make out of the unused remainder of the stick from the ice cream. As a result, it turns out to be a fully working trigger mechanism, which can be used to fire arrows. Before completing the work, check all the crossbow elements for the fixing reliability, and if something seems shaky to you somewhere, do not regret the tape to fix this part properly.

Safety first

So, you have learned how to make a paper crossbow that can produce pencil shots. Of course, this is not a real weapon, but with inaccurate treatment it can also cause both harm to your child's health, and damage to your property. Therefore, the baby should be trained not only how to make a crossbow, but also how to handle it. Show him everything clearly, mark the zone where he can play with the crossbow, and then he will be absolutely safe.
