How to build a wooden fence with your own hands

In connection with the fact that natural materials have again begun to enjoy popularity, more and more often owners of household plots want to install a wooden fence with their own hands. Such fences now can be observed even around the most modern houses, well, and their use in suburban areas is able to add coziness. To achieve high-quality performance, it is necessary to know at least the basics of mounting this design. Then you can get a good wooden fence, the price for which will noticeably decrease in case of self-fulfillment. First of all, it is necessary to decide on its type, which will depend mainly on the tasks assigned by the house owner.

Whichever wooden fence one wants to build with his own hands, he will in any case have the same principles of installing pillars and basic elements serving to fasten the boards. However, after installation, its appearance can be completely different. One of the simplest options involves tightly placing the slats on one side in an upright position. This fence looks pretty solid, while it provides excellent protection from prying eyes. Sometimes siding is used to finish the wooden fence. A photo of such a structure can show all its beauty to the fullest.

The erection begins with the installation of pillars serving as the main supporting elements. At first, the corner posts are piled in. Specialists recommend deepening the pillars in the ground by about a third of the total length. Especially it concerns the extreme racks and those that bear the maximum load from other structures (like the gate and gate). Holes are most often performed by special augers or motoburs. They are largely able to facilitate the task.

When a wooden fence is erected by one's own hands, it becomes necessary to protect the decks from decay. In place of bitumen and roofing felt, modern impregnations have come. Protected from moisture poles are placed in prepared pits, on the bottom of which there must be rubble, so that the structure does not sink through any time. After installing all the basic support elements of the fence, a small mound should be made to avoid collecting water around the pole. Further in the lower and upper parts are fixed guides, to which the boards of the enclosure are attached directly.

After the wooden fence has been built with your own hands, it must be well treated with protective means. At the first stage, the wood is cleaned of various contaminants, tar and dust. After this, the treatment itself is carried out, which involves two stages. The first of these uses an antifungal antiseptic to help protect the wood from mold and rot. At the second stage, paint is used for facade works, which allows to protect the product from the effects of ultraviolet rays and give it a respectable appearance.
