How important is the proper quality assurance of products?

One of the most important factors of the competitiveness of each manufacturer today is the quality of the products it produces. And it should be noted immediately that in the conditions of market relations the role of non-price competition has increased incredibly lately, because of the large number of unscrupulous consumer manufacturers, now the price, namely, the quality of goods, is of interest. Consider this concept in more detail.

Quality assurance was required and produced at almost any time. To date, many people argue over what exactly the word "quality" means, but for ordinary people it has a single terminology. ISO International has already managed to standardize such a concept as a set of different characteristics of a particular object that relate directly to its ability to fully or partially meet already established needs.

Let's look at some of the elements that are currently used to assess the quality of goods. By characteristics is meant some interrelation of various independent and dependent variables, which are displayed in the form of a certain graph, formula or plain text. Characteristics can be both quantitative and qualitative. The concept of an object, for example, involves a process or activity, an organization, a service, an individual, products, or any combination thereof. That is, in other words, the object in this case is all that can be in some way considered or described.

Products are the end result of processes or activities. A service is a definite result of the interaction of the supplier and the consumer, as well as the supplier's internal activity in meeting the various needs of the consumer.

The initial concept of quality is also the concept of need. Here, initially, it is about satisfying the different needs of each consumer, which play a huge role in the formation of quality in this case. Consumers have recently become much more discriminating, and most importantly - picky, so their quality requirements grow almost every day. The main desire of every person is to get the highest quality products or services that fully meet all of his needs.

In the 70s of the last century, many specialists together with scientists determined that quality can not be fully guaranteed only through the control of exclusively finished products. It must be ensured at every stage in the production, as well as in the process of market research, in selecting suppliers of raw materials and in many other processes.

How is quality assured? Modern tendencies

As a result of such studies and the growth of consumer criticism, the quality assurance of products began to require the creation of various complex approaches that could form a certain closed process, taking into account all the above-mentioned stages and a number of others. That is why, since recently, some systems have been created that constantly operate on various activities that provide quality assurance. Such systems have recently changed and improved several times.

In the end, many manufacturers came to the conclusion that it is expedient not only to regulate technical processes, but also everything that can be connected with the management, organization of the distribution of functions of rights, duties and tasks. The main goal of the standards is to build such a quality system that will ensure the production of products that can meet almost any customer requirements.
