And not only in the former CIS countries, but almost all over the world. This popularity is due to its effectiveness and safety. In this case, the drug is in any pharmacy, and is dispensed without a prescription.

You can give Paracetamol to a child, and sometimes you need it. It can even be said that this drug is used quite often when treating children. Children are sick more often than adults, but what is the main symptom that accompanies almost every childhood illness? This is the temperature with which paracetamol is effective. What nuances should I know and can I give Paracetamol to children?

Let's talk about the action that this medicine produces. Traditionally, he was part of a group of anti-inflammatory drugs. At the same time, recent studies have shown that this action of the drug is too insignificant. But the painkiller and antipyretic remedy it is called by right. The fact that this medicine is designed to combat the symptoms of certain pathologies can be assessed in different ways. It is believed that this drug does not heal, but only effectively removes the symptoms of the disease.

That is, it turns out that by giving paracetamol to a child, we take off the heat, which in turn is caused by a certain inflammatory process. Opponents of antipyretics say that in this way we are rendering the child "a disservice". Temperature indicates the presence of the body's struggle with the inflammatory process, and paracetamol, respectively, reduces the body's ability to resist.

As if everything is true, but if your children have a high temperature, then it is in itself a serious danger. Against her background, a child, especially up to three years of age, may even experience seizures. In fact, at a temperature exceeding 39˚, it is not only possible for a child to give paracetamol, but even necessary. Also, pediatricians specify that it is necessary to give the drug to the children only in cases when it is impossible to do without it. It is advisable to give the medicine to children before meals every six hours. The drug starts in about 20-30 minutes and lasts for four hours. The daily dose corresponding to or exceeding 150 mg per 1 kg of weight is considered fatal (toxic) for children.
