Hot Spots. Map of the world's hot spots

Today it may seem that all the terrible wars were in the distant past. But this is not so. Despite the fact that, according to research, in the 21st century, as a result of military operations, much fewer people die than in previous centuries, hot spots break out in different regions of our planet. Armed conflicts, military crises - probably, mankind will never lay down arms.

The hot spots of the planet are like old wounds that can not heal. For a while, conflicts fade, but then again and again flare up, bringing pain and suffering to mankind. The international crisis group called the regions of hot spots on our planet, which right now threaten the world.

Iraq

The conflict occurred between the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (IGIL) and government troops, as well as other religious and ethnic groups of the country. Thus, the terrorists Igilah stated that they are going to create an Islamic state in the territories of Syria and Iraq - the caliphate. Of course, the current government opposed.

However, at the moment, the fighters can not be resisted. Hot military points break out across the country, and the caliphate of the IGIL expands its borders. Today it is a huge territory from the borders of Baghdad to the Syrian city of Aleppo. The troops of the incumbent government were able to free up from terrorists only two major cities - Ujah and Tikrit.

The autonomy of Iraqi Kurdistan took advantage of the difficult situation in the country. During the offensive operations of the IGIL, the Kurds seized power over several large oil-producing regions. And today they announced the holding of a referendum and withdrawal from Iraq.

Gaza Strip

The Gaza Strip has been on the list of hot spots for a long time. Conflicts between Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas are flaring up again and again for decades. The main reason is the unwillingness of the parties to listen to each other's arguments.

Thus, Israel launched a military operation in order to destroy the infrastructure of underground tunnels and warehouses with stocks of Palestinian weapons in order to deprive terrorists of the possibility of attacking Israeli territory. Hamas, however, demands that the economic blockade of the Gaza Strip be removed and prisoners released.

The immediate cause of the fighting that has now unfolded in the Gaza Strip is the death of three Israeli teenagers, and in response to this - the killing of a Palestinian. And on July 17, 2014, the next hostilities began: tanks drove, missiles flew.

Several times during this time, the parties were going to conclude a truce, but all attempts to reach an agreement did not lead to anything. Still shells explode, people are dying, and journalists in hot spots make such pictures that it's terrible to watch ...

Syria

The military conflict in Syria flared up after the authorities severely suppressed the opposition demonstrations that broke out under the auspices of the "Arab spring". The clashes between the government army under the command of Bashar Assad and the coalition of the Syrian armed forces led to a real war. It affected almost the whole country: about 1500 groups (Front an Nusra, IGIL and others) joined in military operations, more than 100,000 citizens took up arms. The strongest and most dangerous were radical Islamists.

Hot spots are scattered all over the country today. After all, Syria is under the control of a wide variety of terrorist gangs. Most of the country today is controlled by government troops. The north of the state is completely captured by the soldiers of IGIL. Although in some places the Kurds are still trying to conquer the territory. Near the capital, militants of an organized group called the Islamic Front became more active. And in the city of Aleppo there are exchanges between the military forces of Assad and the moderate opposition.

South Sudan

The country is divided into two opposing tribal unions - the Nueres and the Dinka. Nuers are the predominant population of the state, and the incumbent president also applies to them. Dinky is the second largest among the nationalities of Southern Sudan.

The conflict erupted after the President of the Sudan announced to the public that his assistant, the vice president, was trying to provoke a coup d'état in the country. Immediately after his speech, mass riots, protest actions and numerous arrests began in the country. Complete devastation and disorganization resulted in a real military conflict.

Today, the country's oil producing regions are hot spots. They are under the power of the rebels, led by the disgraced vice-president. This has had a negative impact on the economic component of the Sudan. The civilian population of the country also suffered greatly: more than ten thousand victims, about seven hundred thousand were forced to become refugees. To somehow resolve this conflict, the UN sent to South Sudan its peacekeeping contingent, which was supposed to serve as a protection for civilians.

In the spring of 2014, militant alliances attempted to reach a compromise. However, the rebel leader openly admitted that he had long ago lost his power over the rebels. In addition, the peace talks prevented the troops of Uganda, who are on the side of the President of the Sudan.

Nigeria

On the territory of the country since 2002, there is a terrorist Islamic organization called "Boko Haram". The main goal they pursue is the establishment of Sharia law on the territory of all Nigeria . However, the authorities and the majority of citizens are against this "proposal", since Muslims in the country of the majority do not.

Since its inception, the group has significantly expanded its influence, well armed and began to openly kill Christians, as well as those Muslims who are loyal to them. Terrorists daily commit terrorist attacks and publicly execute people. In addition, they periodically take hostages. So, in April 2014 more than two hundred schoolgirls were captured by the Islamists. They keep them for ransom, as well as prostitution and slavery sales.

The government of the country has repeatedly tried to reach an agreement with the terrorists, but no talks have taken place. Today entire regions of the country are under the rule of the group. And the authorities are not able to cope with the situation. The President of Nigeria asked for financial assistance from the world community in order to increase the fighting capacity of the army of the country, currently losing extremists.

Region Sahel

The crisis began in 2012, when due to military actions taking place in Libya, the Tuareg massively poured into the territory of Mali. In the northern part of the country, they formed a state called Azawad. However, less than a year later, a military coup broke out in the self-proclaimed power. Taking advantage of the situation, France introduced its troops to the territory of Mali - in order to help fight the Tuareg and radical Islamists controlling the area. In general, today the Sahel has become a stronghold of the slave trade, drug trafficking, the sale of weapons and prostitution.

Military strife eventually led to a large-scale famine. According to the UN, more than eleven million people in the region are without food, and if the situation is not resolved, by the end of 2014 this figure will increase by another seven million. However, no change for the better is not yet foreseen: throughout the territory of Mali, military actions are in full swing between the government, the French, Tuareg and terrorists. And this is despite the fact that the state of Azawad is no more.

Mexico

In Mexico, for several decades there has been a constant confrontation between local drug cartels. The authorities never touched them, because they were completely corrupt. And it was not a secret to anyone. However, when in 2006 the president of the country chose Felipe Calderon, everything changed. The new head of the country decided to change the situation once and for all and sent an army to one of the states to deal with crime and restore law and order. It did not lead to anything good. Confrontation between government soldiers and bandits ended in a war in which the whole country eventually ended up.

In the eight years since the beginning of the conflict, drug cartels have acquired power, power and significantly expanded their borders. If earlier they fought among themselves for the quantity and quality of narcotic products, today they are arguing for highways, ports and coastal cities. Under the control of the mafia were markets for weapons, prostitution, counterfeit products. Government forces are clearly losing in this struggle. And the reason is corruption. It comes to the point that many military just go over to the side of drug cartels. In some regions of the country, local residents also opposed the mafia: they organized people's militias. This people want to show that they absolutely distrust neither the authorities nor the local police.

Hot spots of Central Asia

The tension in the region is created by Afghanistan, the wars in which have not subsided for many decades, as well as Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, which got involved in territorial disputes with each other. Another reason for the ongoing conflicts in the region is the main drug trafficking in the Eastern Hemisphere. Because of him, local criminal groups constantly face.

It seemed that after the Americans had withdrawn their military from Afghanistan, the country was finally at peace. However, it did not last long. After the presidential election, a lot of dissatisfied people appeared who refused to recognize the vote as legitimate. Taking advantage of the situation in the country, the terrorist organization "Taliban" began to seize the capital of Afghanistan.

In winter of 2014, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan became involved in territorial strife, which was accompanied by military actions in the border areas. Tajikistan stated that Kyrgyzstan had violated existing borders. In turn, the government of Kyrgyzstan accused them of the same. Since the collapse of the USSR between these countries, there are periodic conflicts about the existing designation of borders, and clearly no division. And Uzbekistan intervened in the dispute, having already presented its claims. The question is the same: the authorities of the country do not agree with the borders that were formed after the collapse of the USSR. The states have already tried to resolve the situation somehow, but they have not reached an agreement and a concrete solution of the issue. At the moment, the atmosphere in the region is extremely heated and at any moment can lead to military actions.

China and the countries of the region

Today the Paracel Islands are the hot spots of the planet. The conflict was initiated by the fact that the Chinese halted development of oil wells near the archipelago. This was not liked by Vietnam and the Philippines, who sent their troops to Hanoi. To show the Chinese their attitude to the current situation, the military of both countries played an indicative football match in the Spratly archipelago. This they caused the wrath of Beijing: near the disputed islands appeared Chinese warships. In this case, there were no military operations from Beijing. However, Vietnam claims that warships with the Chinese flag have already sunk more than one fishing vessel. Mutual reproaches and accusations can at any time lead to the fact that missiles will fly.

Hot spots of Ukraine

The crisis in Ukraine began in November 2013. After in March the peninsula Crimea became a part of the Russian Federation, it intensified. Dissatisfied with the situation in the state, pro-Russian activists formed the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics in the East of Ukraine. The government, headed by the new president Poroshenko, sent an army against the separatists. The fighting took place on the territory of Donbass (map of hot spots below).

In the summer of 2014, over the territory of the Donbass, controlled by the separatists, the ship crashed from Malaysia. 298 people were killed. The Ukrainian government declared guilty in this tragedy of the militia of the Democratic People's Republic of China and the People's Republic of France, as well as the Russian side, allegedly supplying the rebels with weapons and air defense systems, with the help of which the aircraft was shot down. However, in the NDP and LCL, they refused to participate in the crash. Russia also said that it has nothing to do with the conflict inside Ukraine and the death of the liner.

On September 5, the Minsk agreement on armistice was signed, as a result of which active hostilities ceased on the territory of the country. However, in some areas (for example, Donetsk airport), bombardments and explosions continue to this day.

Hot spots of Russia

For today in territory of the Russian Federation military actions are not conducted, and hot points are not present. However, since the collapse of the Soviet Union, conflicts have erupted on our territory more than once. Thus, the hottest points of Russia in this decade are undoubtedly Chechnya, the North Caucasus and South Ossetia.

Until 2009, Chechnya was a permanent place of military operations: first the first Chechen war (from 1994 to 1996), then the second Chechen war (from 1999 to 2009). In August 2008, there was a Georgian-Ossetian conflict, in which Russian troops also took part. The fighting began on August 8, and five days later ended with the signing of a peace treaty.

Today, the Russian soldier has two ways to get into the hot spots: the army and the contract service. According to the changes made to the Regulations regulating the procedure for military service, the conscripts can be sent to hot spots after four months of training (previously this period was six months).

Under the contract, you can get to the hotspot by signing an appropriate contract with the country. This contract is made only in a voluntary manner and for a specific period, which the citizen is obliged to serve. The contract service attracts many, because you can make a lot of money on this. The amounts vary depending on the regions. For example, in Kosovo they pay from 36 thousand per month, and in Tajikistan - much less. Big money could be earned for risk in Chechnya.

Before signing the contract, volunteers must undergo a rigorous selection: starting with computer testing on the website of the Ministry of Defense and ending with a full survey of the state of health, the psyche, verification of personal data, law-abiding and loyalty.
