Homophobe is not what you think

Today, human society has stepped not only far ahead in the study of the surrounding space and information technology, but also deeply in the study of themselves. Many new words have appeared, the meanings of which are not always understood by most people. One of them, which is not always applied in accordance with its direct meaning, is homophobic. This word is often used when characterizing a person who demonstrates a negative attitude towards homosexuals. This position most people justify by worsening the demographic situation in some countries of the world.

Until a certain time in society there was no such thing as "homophobic". This word became relevant only during the famous "sexual revolution", after which minorities actively fought for their rights. Prior to this period of need to blame homosexual forms of behavior was not, because heterosexuality was considered a social norm. And the facts of other behavior were not known to most people.

Many associate the appearance of both similar words and phenomena with modern moral principles. But this is not entirely reliable, just a person today, like at all times, seeks to understand his own, and especially in other people's behavioral reactions and necessarily "glue" clear labels to people and phenomena. And the possibilities of the existing information field allow facts, and more often - "pieces" of facts, to penetrate into the minds and consciousnesses of most people who absorb already prepared conclusions and judgments without thinking about the meaning. But the authors of any articles often just state their point of view in the hope that the reader will draw the right conclusions as a result of individual brain activity.

The word "homophobia", the translation of which sounds like "hostility (hatred, fear) to oneself like" is used to determine the negative attitude towards homosexuals. But if you think about the literal meaning of this concept, then it means something completely different. Most likely, that's why today the majority of civilized people do not welcome aggression aimed at people with a different sexual orientation than they do. And the word "homophobic" is more negative quality of a person than a positive one. In this regard, not all people aspire to openly express their views on this issue.

A latent homophobic can hide his true feelings, so as not to deserve in society the characteristics of an aggressive and conservative person. But, unfortunately, cases of psychological and physical violence against people whose way of life is not considered the norm are still very frequent. In connection with the information that has appeared that homophobia is a latent homosexual, many also prefer not to show their beliefs about this. But the unreasonable negativity and unnecessary fuss in the world from this does not become less.

Obviously, today the society becomes tolerant, but this should not mean permission to propagate non-traditional behavior. In the culture of different countries, these issues are treated differently, but no religion of the world teaches aggression and violence. After all, the sexuality of any person is a very fragile musical instrument, which he must adjust only himself.
