It is difficult to imagine a man who at least once in his life did not try sweets. Of course, this is not the main food, without it you can and do. But sweets have a different purpose: dessert can enhance mood, can give pleasure only from its very use.

The use of sweets has long been considered a special tradition, the completion of the main meal or an independent snack, all the charm of which was savoring, unhurried eating and enjoying the taste of dessert.

The world of sweets is great. These are different kinds of sweets, pastilles, marshmallows, jellies, cakes and pastries, sherbets and halva. Sweets accompany us always. There are traditional, characteristic for this or that people, but there are refreshments prepared for any holiday. There are such goodies that you can eat for dessert every day. Among these sweets can be called glazed fruit. They can be used as an independent dish or as decoration of cakes, pastries, sweet pies.

Glazed fruit

This insanely delicious treat is loved by both adults and children. It is prepared from ripe, but not overripe fruit. The recipe is simple, and the dessert is useful, because it stores a lot of vitamins.

Large fruits must be peeled off the core and peel and put into porcelain utensils with a lid. Separately, we prepare the syrup: 500 grams of sugar, we pour 0.5 liters of water, we heat up to complete dissolution. Then pour the fruit prepared in this way with hot syrup, cover with a lid and leave for a day. After filtering the fruit through a sieve. The syrup is cooked again until it thickens and we pour the fruit again. Again leave for a day.

This procedure is repeated until the syrup completely evaporates. As a rule, it takes 8-10 days, and the glazed fruit is ready. We dry them well and put them in glass jars.

A little trick: to give the fruit an attractive appearance, you can add gelatin (2 grams per hundred grams of fruit) to the syrup.

Recipes

Glazed fruit for a cake can be prepared according to the following recipe. For its implementation we will need: apples, pears, quince (two pieces), plums, apricots, peaches (four pieces), water (one liter), sugar powder (one kilogram).

We make syrup from water and powder. Fruits are cleaned, large cut into slices, pierced with a needle to better soaked. Fill with hot syrup, leave for a day. Then merge, boil to a density and refill the fruit. Leave for 5-7 days until the syrup has completely evaporated. Fruit spread on paper, dry well and put in a cardboard box.

Such glazed fruits are stored for a very long time. They will be a wonderful decoration for the cake.

Prepare a cake is easy. First, prepare the short pastry on any recipe. Put the biscuit on the bottom of the mold.
