Georgian short comedies, good old movies with a human face

In the seventies throughout the Soviet Union, Georgian short films-comedies were demonstrated in all cinemas. Paintings lasting from fifteen to thirty minutes contained so much good humor and cheerful irony that the audience received a lot of fun and left the room without fail with a smile on their faces.

How films were produced

The old Georgian short comedies were widely heard, people tried not to miss a single new film, and after seeing the picture, shared their impressions. Revaz Gabriadze was one of the few figures in Soviet cinema who was allowed to travel abroad. He worked in France and Switzerland for a long time, staged theatrical performances and wrote scripts. Other directors, colleagues Gabriadze

The filmmaker Gaga Revishvili became famous after the release of the film "Sunday Sunday", 17 minutes long, telling about one day of a young guy, his meetings and other events that happened on a day off.

Guguli Mgeladze created about twenty films, the most notable of which was the short comedy "White Houses", filmed in 1974. The film lasts for 22 minutes tells about the relationship of builders who are not indifferent to art and pianist.

Soviet system and cinematography
