Game Review

The script of the second "Witcher" continues the story of the original, but if you do not have an idea of the adventures of Geralt along Wizim and its surroundings in search of the "Salamander" squads, then nothing terrible will happen, since for the most part this is an absolutely independent part. From the very first minutes an epic introduction awaits us, diluted by dramatic events and revelations. Unfortunately, after the prologue is over, Geralt will be accused of killing King Foltest, albeit completely unfounded. Nevertheless, our protagonist will be able to avoid a grievous fate, in order to find the real killer of the king and clear his name. Stormy political discussions, unexpected scenario turns, deeply thought-out branching - all this is part of the beautiful storyline, which draws the player almost 40 hours.

In terms of gameplay the sequel has far gone from the original. Developers completely rebuilt the combat system, and the signs received several modified elements of the impact. Of course, the usual witcher lessons have not gone anywhere: gathering alchemical ingredients and cooking various potions, crafting swords and armor, meditation and so on. There is also a pumping of the character on 3 development branches: magician, fighter and alchemist. It is worth noting that the game does not have a completely open world. Instead, in each new chapter, we are provided with a completely new colorful location, which Geralt can explore across and through in search of interesting assignments and personalities.

A separate word I would like to mention about the complexity of the game process. The hero of our review became one of the hardcore RPGs of the new time, behind only the crazy Dark Souls. The project provides several modes of complexity, where "Dark" and "Mad" are ready to throw a real challenge to gamers. In free from the passage of the storyline, the player can take on the execution of minor quests, which are in no way inferior in quality to the main missions. All the dialogues are beautifully written, the characters are charismatic, and the variety is sometimes surprising. It is especially interesting to hunt monsters, which can only be destroyed with a special approach. Finally, in order to relax somewhat after numerous skirmishes, you can play mini-games, including poker on bones, wrestling and mixed fights.

The technical side of the project deserves special mention. "Witcher 2", the system requirements of which we will give below, has amazing graphics with excellent play of light and shadow, wonderful detailing of characters and objects, rich colors of the surrounding world and breathtaking panoramas, breathtaking. The game was developed on the engine RED Engine, created by the company's own forces. Cities and forests, caves and water surfaces - everything looks amazing, forcing the player to admire the beauty of the southern kingdoms. The soundtrack, based on the music of the Slavic peoples, is also impressive, leaving an indelible impression of acquaintance with the game.

Nevertheless, if you decide to set all the sliders in the graphics settings to the maximum, and activate the "Beyond quality", then such a system will be small for the game "Witcher 2". System requirements (maximum) are described below:

• RAM: 8 Gb;

Technical problems

1. Knocks the error mfc100u.dll was not found. Try installing the latest version of MS Visual C ++.
2. Very low productivity and frequent lags. You need to update the drivers to your video card, and also lower the graphics quality settings (in particular, "Shadows", "Smoothing" and "Texture memory size"). You can also do the following: Start menu => Run => cmd => bcdedit / set IncreaseUserVa 3072 => restart the PC.
3. The Witcher 2 does not start. System requirements are the first thing you need to pay attention to. If your PC does not match them, you will have to upgrade. Other solutions to the problem can be installing all the important drivers, reinstalling the game, reducing all graphics settings. If you have a pirated copy of the game, then install all the patches that fix a lot of errors.
4. Black bars appear constantly below and above the screen. The game is designed for widescreen monitors, and therefore in traditional 5: 4 and 4: 3 in any case these bands will appear.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Currently, the CD Project studio is developing the final part of the series about Geralt from Rivia. The release of the game should take place on May 19, 2015 on PCs and consoles of a new generation. This time igrodely promise to present a truly epic adventure, unfolding in a large open world, filled with small villages, vast forests, rugged rivers, rotting swamps and other delights. Separate mention deserves the city of Novigrad, which is home to thousands of different people, the Reds and Elves, dealing with their own affairs in daily turmoil. In "Wild Hunt" will finally appear Ciri and Jennifer, which fans have been waiting for so long, as well as old friends of Buttercup, Zoltan and, of course, Triss Merigold. Developers have reworked the combat system and effects from signs, added a lot of new skills, and the passage itself can take 100 hours, which truly admires. We are waiting with special trepidation!

"Witcher 2" impresses immediately on all fronts: the game has a great story, fascinating gameplay, a charming visual component and a burning soundtrack. If you are a big fan of traditional RPGs like the Gothic series, then you definitely need to play the game "The Witcher 2". System requirements for it are not so sky-high, and therefore even on a budget by modern standards of PC you can enjoy the gameplay.
