Futsal: rules of the game from FIFA. What should be the futsal ball

To date, one of the fastest growing and gaining popularity of sports is futsal. The rules of the game make it both dynamic and unpredictable. That's why the attention of people all over the world is attracted to this sport.

History of futsal

Futsal is a team game, tournaments are conducted according to the rules, similar to the big football. In fact, this sport is divided into associations. There is a traditional UEFA Futsal, also subordinate to FIFA, and AMF. Both species are officially registered, however, there is no need to make parallels between them, as they do not intersect in competitions. Also, they vary considerably in the rules. Futsal under the auspices of FIFA is called mini-football. This is a less contact and more combinative sport than its "fellow". A similar game under the auspices of the AMF was called futsal. Until the 1980s, both species coexisted as one. However, after the differences of the football associations FIFUSA and PANAFUTSAL it was decided to finally separate them and give them under patronage to the higher federations. In parallel, new sports became AMF and FIFA.

General rules of the game

Futsal is a team game (5 players on each side, including the goalkeeper). The situation is similar in mini-football.

The duration of the game in both kinds is 2 times in 20 minutes. A timekeeper only counts "clean" time. The number of replacements is unlimited.

During the match on the site must be at least 3 players in mini-football (and one more according to the rules of AMF). In both types, coaches are allowed to take 1 time out.

Post-match 6-meter penalty shootouts in mini-football are carried out for 5 pieces. Further blows make their way to the miss. In the futsal, the penalty is played by 3 players. Then the winner also determines up to the first miss.

Site standards and gates

In the futsal game, the rules say that the field should be 28 to 40 meters long and 16 to 20 meters wide, respectively. Penalty area is a semicircle with a diameter of 15.16 m. From the gate line the zone is extended by 6 meters, as well as from each of the bars. On the edges of the penalty area has a rounding. The length of the gate is 3 m, and the height is 2 m. In mini-football, the playground can be in length from 25 to 42 m, and in width - from 14 to 25 m. The standards for official competitions are a field of 40 to 20 meters. The size of the penalty area is the same as in the futsal. The height of the gate should be 2 m. The distance between the bars is 3 meters.

Standards and dimensions of the ball

In any sport, the main attribute is a game shell. Here it's a round ball. For futsal, its circumference should not be more than 60 cm. In amateur forms, a smaller ball (58 cm) is used.

In futsal the mass of the projectile can vary from 430 to 460 grams. In children's and women's categories, this figure is reduced to 380 g. The pressure in the ball should be within 0.6-0.7 atmosphere, that is, the first bounce from the surface with a fall from 2 meters was not more than 50 cm.

In mini-football, the length of the shell's circumference ranges from 62 to 64 cm. At the same time, its mass can be as high as 400 or 440 grams. The pressure in the ball should not exceed 0.6 atmospheres (the minimum threshold is 0.4 at.). It is important that the rebound does not exceed 45 cm when falling from 2 m.

Violations and punishments

Counting team fouls in mini-football (FIFA) begins with the 6th in a row. Penalties are carried out from the place of violation. Opponent in the right to put a wall of all field players. If a foul was committed within the penalty area or in someone else's half of the field, the kick is made from the 10-meter mark. The main difference between the futsal AMF is the ban on the alignment of the wall and the shift of the point of introduction of the ball by 1 m closer to the opponent's goal. Personal fouls in this sport are punished by a blow from the sideline. In mini-football, such violations are not taken into account.

In both types for gross personal fouls players are given yellow cards. If they get 2 pieces for a match, the participant will be removed from the field. The most serious punishment is a direct red card.

In the game of futsal, the player's removal rules provide for the possibility of immediate replacement by a reserve member of the team. Here the red card is given for 5 technical fouls or extremely serious violation. In mini-football, the player is removed before the end of the meeting, but in his place on the field can leave a spare. Replacement is allowed only after 2 minutes after the disqualification of the offender.

Definition of goals

In mini-football, a scored ball is scored only when it completely crossed the goal line. An abandoned shell with a hand is not a goal unless it touches the path of one of the players.

In the game futsal rules allow all types of goals scored. A goal is scored if the projectile crosses the goal line after a kick or throw with a hand from the standard or goalkeeper. It is noteworthy that in the futsal you can score balls only from outside the penalty area of the opponent.

Standard Provisions

The rules of the game futsal allow you to enter the ball from behind the sideline with two hands. In a similar sport under the auspices of FIFA, out is performed with only one foot.

In the futsal of the AMF, the ball during the corner kick is entered with two hands, moving from behind the head. A goal from such a standard position is not counted. In FIFA futsal, a corner kick is performed with the foot. The goal is scored, even if the ball does not hit anyone on the way.

The minimum distance from the opponent's wall to the projectile during the execution of any standard position in the futsal shall be 4 meters. According to FIFA rules, this distance is 5 m.
