Furnaces-stoves - modern interpretation from a metal pipe

Washing in the bath-house is a centuries-old tradition of all peoples, and everyone strives to organize a small holiday by visiting a bath, and showering and bathing are a daily activity. In ancient Russia people have been bathing in baths since time immemorial. In them, women gave birth, healers were treated, the girls wondered if they would marry. The poor went to the bathhouse "in black," the rich warmed their bodies in the baths equipped with a chimney. But in all the baths there was one similarity - stoves-stoves, made of wild stone or brick, resistant to high temperatures.

Selection of materials for making a sauna heater for a sauna in a private house or in the country

Widely distributed wood-burning stoves , made of refractory bricks. The use of bricks improves the functionality of the bath: such furnaces store heat for a long time; When touching a brick wall, the possibility of getting a burn is excluded. But the construction of a stove-heater for a bath of bricks is a very expensive exercise.

If you possess the building knowledge and skills, you can independently make a furnace for a bath from a metal pipe. The construction of a furnace from a metal pipe is the simplest and most reliable solution, which makes it possible to obtain a reliable furnace with low costs.

It will take a welding machine, rod With a diameter of 7-8 mm - 10 meters, hinged hinges - 4 pcs., Tap water - 1 pc., 1 plate of sheet iron with a width of 15 mm and a length of 500 mm. The basis of the body of the sauna heater is a metal pipe 1500-1700 mm in length, 500-700 mm in diameter and with a section thickness of 10 mm.

The pipe is cut into two parts - one part with a length of 1000 mm will serve as a combustion chamber, and above it will be a heater. The second part, 700 mm long, will serve as a water tank. In the lower part of the combustion chamber, we cut out a small slit, 50-60 mm high and 200 mm wide, so-called ashtray, to strengthen the thrust. Above it is attached a strip of metal up to 15 mm wide. In the inner compartment of the combustion chamber, inside the pipe, we fix the grate from a large cross-section bar. An aperture is cut above the blower to supply firewood into the furnace. From the metal sheet 300x350 mm the door of the furnace with hinges and crochets is made, the door is attached to the outer wall of the metal furnace.

Above the furnace is mounted a stone compartment - a heater, it is located at a height of 120-150 mm above the furnace. In the side wall of the stone compartment, a vent 300-350 mm is cut out, which is closed with a door. On the opposite side of the combustion chamber door, an opening is cut at the top of the furnace for a chimney with a latch that is welded to the furnace body and the baths are discharged outside. The pipe must be insulated with refractory materials. Above the stove, welding, a steel circle with a thickness of 5-10 mm is fixed and a water tank with a tap and cover is mounted on it. The wood oven is ready for use.

Furnaces-stoves are installed on a concrete foundation and at a distance of 30 cm from the wall. The door of the combustion chamber is always located opposite the entrance door to the steam room. After installing the oven, conduct a test warm-up.

The stove-heater will heat the bathhouse properly and for a long time, because it is made by your hands.
