What to do when the petrol trim tabs do not start?

The gasoline trimmer is a surprisingly useful tool with which you can cut out not only a miniature lawn in front of the house, but a whole lawn of considerable size. Some reasons

It often happens that users of this kind of machines are trying to "save" by pouring into the tank not fuel with a normal octane number, but something incomprehensible that almost ten years has stood in a plastic canister.

The main thing is a fuel mixture!

In this case, the remnants of the plastic dissolved in the aggressive medium create such terrible things in the combustion chamber that you will not be able to do without a complete reassembly of the mechanism. But you certainly will remember forever how to store fuel properly.

What to do when the fuel was exactly normal, there is a spark, but does the petrol trimmer start? It's possible that you just filled the candle with gasoline. Correctly produce a cold start!

Often, petrol trim tabs do not start after they are tried "put into operation" after long-term storage. Failures with start-up in this case are often caused by incorrect user actions.

If you are faced with this phenomenon, then at a cold start you need to close the damper, and then pump a small amount of fuel mixture into the carburetor. Then pull the starting handle to the sensation of resistance, then sharp and vigorous movements start the trimmer.

After several jerks, it will start and stall, which is normal. After moving the flap to the working position, start the tool again and start working.

Another reason

There are not only situations where petrol trim tabs do not start, but there are cases when after launch they work for a couple of seconds and then stall. Re-examine the spark plug: if it is "thrown", and this situation is repeated even after it is wiped and dried, go to the "revision" of the air filter.

Most likely, it is completely oily and needs replacing. If the filter is OK, it may be that the ignition coil has failed .

In the event that the petrol trim tabs do not start, and you have done all of the above, a muffler can be clogged. It needs to be dismantled, burned on the burner, after which all the carbon can be easily shaken out.

And again the carburetor ...

Even if after such bullying your trimmer does not start, you can not do without disassembling the carburetor. It may very well be that the blame for the misery of the needle is in it. In any case, the disassembly and washing of this capricious mechanism certainly will not interfere.

In general, when the trimmer begins to be capricious and deaf, it is advisable to carry out full preventive maintenance: completely change the fuel mixture, try another oil, and also change the candle without fail. Practice shows that in many cases it is the low-quality candles that are to blame.
