Fish tench: fisherman's dream

In the reservoirs of the middle lane of our country there is a fairly abundant ichthyofauna. There are a large number of fish, many of which have local commercial importance. And one of the representatives of the freshwater fauna very significant in this respect is the Lin fish. Its unusual name is associated with the ability to change its color. Every fisherman who caught and pulled the line from the water can make sure of this unusual phenomenon.

This effect is due to the fact that the body of the line covers a thick layer of mucus, which protects it from damage. When the tench is pulled out of the water, this mucus reacts with oxygen, as a result of which the body of the fish begins to become covered with large black spots. Over time, this mucus dries up and falls off pieces. However, like any fish, lin is adjusted to a changing external environment.

So, the lines that are caught in light rivers and lakes will almost certainly be golden. Fish, caught in floodplains of rivers, in marshy ponds and lakes, will be very dark. This is perfectly noticeable when the fish lin, the photo of which is made on different water bodies, is compared with each other.

Unfortunately, because of predatory fishing methods, the line is found in our reservoirs not so much. But our recent ancestors reported a lot of curious things. In particular, many natural scientists in the 18-19 centuries reported that a lot of the lines are found in the Bashkir and Yekaterinburg districts: then cases of catching a line weighing 3-4 kilograms were not uncommon!

However, such a tench fish was not considered especially large. So, in 1857, a real giant was caught near Kiev: the length of this gigantic fish was 70 centimeters (arshin), and this monster weighed almost eight kilograms! Where are the current fishermen, who even catch molting in a kilogram for happiness!

As you can understand, this kind is due to its longevity to achieve this size. The life expectancy of a line is not known for certain, but one can confidently assume that they can live for more than a decade. During this time the fish becomes more and more large and "experienced", rarely falls on float fishing rods.

However, seasoned fishermen are well aware that fishing on the line is a very dangerous exercise, as this fish, when caught, exerts a desperate resistance. Even comparatively small specimens sometimes break the rods, more to large representatives of the species it is not difficult to break even a fairly thick and strong fishing line.

If you are going to go fishing with a view to catching the line, then it should be looked for in calm old men and quiet silted ponds, which he loves very much. As a bait should be used animal nozzles, although it is often the case when the line is willing to take and some vegetable. In particular, the same anglers in the old books claim that you can catch this sluggish and phlegmatic fish and the dough, richly flavored with honey.

It should be noted that fish lin - a calm and leisurely representative of the population of ponds, so that when fishing it is necessary to get calm and patience. There are often cases when even seasoned anglers could not stand hours of fishing with occasional and careless bites.
